It'll always be here. There's no way to eliminate what's in someone mind, how they think. Even if you shame them into oblivion.
BUT...the great thing about an ever evolving society is that as we find certain things unacceptable and that becomes the mainstream consensus...the intolerance and bigotry acts as it's own vehicle to *un*-empower those individuals or organizations who previously enjoyed an unchallenged environment...by now experiencing real time consequences that weren't previously part of the picture. Real backlash (instead of just grumbling).
