How in the world did we go from a Republican pledge to cut trillions from the budget to the President proposing even greater cuts (4 trillion) only to have the Republicans balk and demand lesser cuts?

They're playing a dangerous friggin game.  Ole Johnny boy has some kind of fucked up grand design, but I know it's not his design. He's not that calculated or smart.  He takes his marching orders like a good ideologue...can't quite put my finger on it.

I said months ago he's not the brightest flame on the cigarette. He's turned control of the House, and in return our entire government, to a group of extremist loons who've only been in office a few months. Not a smart way to "lead"...

John's afraid of Cantor.. Cantor is a fucking extreme nut-bag with dreams of destroying America in the hopes of Obama's not getting re-elected.. I think without Cantor around, Boehner would be pliable. He's a rube, I'm sure, but I don't think he likes the big fight.. I think he'd rather have it easy and over by 5pm since he's always the 1st to leave and hit the local pub.

what I find interesting is their plans are working, unemployment is up, just like they'd hoped for with their "our 1st priority is Jobs.... ok, not really" campaign and election..  and people are actually surprised.. wtf did people think was going to happen when this this new round of 'congressmen' decided everything but jobs/economic recovery was a priority?

seriously, the last thing that he called a 'job-killer' that needed his great attention in order to create more jobs was the patent office..

“The fact that it takes, on average, three years for Washington to approve a patent helps explain why our economy is still struggling to create jobs.  (ahh yes, that explains it all doesn't it? It's the patent offices fault as to why there aren't any jobs!")This legislation modernizes our patent system to help create private sector jobs and keep America on the leading edge of innovation.  The America Invents Act also cuts down on frivolous lawsuits that make it harder for businesses to hire and expand.  I appreciate the efforts of Chairman Smith and all our members in helping to pass this jobs bill.  This is the second jobs bill the House has passed this week, and our committees are hard at work on additional measures that would remove government barriers to private-sector job growth.  I hope President Obama and Democratic leaders in the Senate will work with us to enact these common-sense proposals.”

I'm not quite sure why they get away with calling this a 'jobs bill' but hey, I don't drink the koolaid either so I guess I wouldn't.. LOL

oh yeah, and so I'm not called a plagiarist, the 'red' portion is my comment and the rest was taken from Boehner's website..

Facts are the center. We don’t pretend that certain facts are in dispute to give the appearance of fairness to people who don’t believe them.  Balance is irrelevant to me.  It doesn’t have anything to do with truth, logic or reality. ~Charlie Skinner (the Newsroom)

Don't forget 'Our only goal is to make Obama a one term president' McConnell.

Well, a lot of the public, but not all.

108 jobs bills...poof.  Ten alone in the past few months, I believe, never saw the light of day.  What a great grift.

Kell and I have that working theory of why Obama is so placating and bi-partisan.  There's things he'll go for with steam rollers on, like terrorists.  Repubs tried to spin the living shit out of that one, but at the end of the day...they really can't get the traction they want on, "My God, he's killing to many terrorists!"  Even the die hard baggers and repubs can't really argue with that.  "Ummm, ok guys, let's just drop that. Which asshole tried to convince us THAT talking point was a good one?"

Then, we have...everything else.  I fully believe Obama is quite aware of what would happen if he went balls to the wall...went all straight up Teddy or FDR.  The already tenuous divide that was created, the second he entered the sole domain of the all whites president's club, as the first Black president, would completely explode.  As our evidence...is the exact opposite of reality being preferred...or at least being fought for with surprising support.  Logic can take a seat, while they burn everything down around Obama, and blame him for the ashes, so he doesn't see a second term.

Seven times during Bushs' admin, he asked for the debt ceiling to be raised and 7 times he got it.  Not a peep.  The new guy has the maxed out credit card now, so...it's his fault!  The debt ceiling IS recockulously high, no getting around it.  We CAN fix this, Obama CAN fix this and is apparently ready to step up to the plate with some surreal choices, that no one...even the GOP...thought he'd tread into.  Their reaction?  They shit.  They shit all over themselves.  They don't have a game plan beyond what they thought could never, would never happen.  They're fuckin flummoxed and have nothing...nothing.  They're scrambling like hell and they still can't bring anything else to the table except the baggers steadfast talking point...no tax increase.  Except it's not a tax increase, it's an end to a 12 year holiday, 3 to 4 percent...on those few who enjoyed it...not the majority of Americans.

So, if you're gonna force grandmaw to eat even more catfood, and ole crippled joe might have to roll around on a skateboard instead of a wheelchair...and little billy will just have to quit growing so those hand me downs can last another year or two...it's looks awfully fuckin bad when dear ole mom and dad keep justifying not changing one single friggin thing in their personal expenditures to ease that burden just a tad.  Nothing crazy...just a bit.

It's down to this:

http://www.politico.com/playbook/0711/playbook1476.html

Boehner's weak kneed pussiness has left him kneeled in front of Cantor sucking his dick, letting him do all the talking, translated: Refusing to do anything.
