Title: Rush - Leader of the Republican Party
Post by: Howey on March 02, 2012, 06:11:32 pm

It's no secret the self-annointed leader of the Republican Party is a racist, homophobe, misogynist. The fact that he's still is a testament to the sordid level the former Grand Ol' Party has reduced itself. Inflammatory language itself has always been a tool to incite his brainless listeners, the so-called "Ditto-Heads".

Perhaps he's finally crossed the line with his latest comments (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/02/rush-limbaugh-slut-georgetown-john-degioia-sandra-fluke_n_1316400.html?ncid=edlinkusaolp00000009) regarding women, and Sandra Fluke in particular.

Quote
Officials at Georgetown University came to the defense of Sandra Fluke on Friday, criticizing radio host Rush Limbaugh for calling the third-year law student a "slut" and a "prostitute" after she spoke out on birth control insurance coverage.

John DeGioia, president of Georgetown, sent a letter to students and faculty praising Fluke's congressional testimony. "She was respectful, sincere, and spoke with conviction," he wrote. "She provided a model of civil discourse. This expression of conscience was in the tradition of the deepest values we share as a people."

The furor over Limbaugh's comment is spreading, even though he's sticking to his word. (http://www.latimes.com/news/nation/nationnow/la-na-nn-rush-limbaugh-slut-20120302,0,3932177.story)

And what kind of perverted sicko is Limbaugh?

Quote
"Slut" was how Rush Limbaugh described birth control activist Sandra Fluke. Then, as frequently happens with charged statements by the conservative talk show host, the furor erupted.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has created an anti-Limbaugh petition, and President Obama even called the third-year Georgetown University law student to express his support.

On his nationally syndicated show, Limbaugh made a "kissing noise with his lips," ABC News reported, and said of Obama, "What a great guy. ... What is she 30 years old?"

White House spokesman Jay Carney said that Obama "wanted to express his disappointment" that Fluke had been "the subject of inappropriate personal attacks," The Times earlier reported.

It's a major flap, but Fluke, anyway, seemed unflappable in a Friday morning appearance on the "Today" show.

She said at first she was stunned by Limbaugh's comments, then "very upset," noting that they occurred "on the first day of Women's History Month."  Fluke didn't have any choice names for Limbaugh.

Limbaugh's comments were related to a GOP-led attempt to roll back new federal insurance rules requiring contraceptive coverage. The ammendment by Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) was rejected Thursday by the Senate.

Fluke had recently testified about contraception before a Democratic panel, which placed her in the conservative talk show host's crosshairs.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called on Limbaugh to apologize for his comments.  That apparently just spurred him on. Thursday on his nationally syndicated show he said: "So Miss Fluke, if we are going to ... pay for you to have sex, we want something for it. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch."

you should find video of him saying all of this stuff... it's ssooooooooooooooo much worse when you actually see him. The part about wanting to watch the videos was fucking perv-raper-creepy... it literally made my skin crawl.. in that moment, whether he says he was joking or not, in that moment I saw the man he is.. he is the man who would rape a women if he wouldn't get punished. If he came across a woman passed out, he'd fuck her and walk away and say she deserved it.. woman have spent their lives 'feeling out' the 'mr creepies' of the world... it's like a 6th sense, it's just something all women have. (doesn't mean the use it tho..) and all it takes are certain words,phrases,looks.. whatever and we 'get that feeling'.. Rush exudes it in these videos..

and oddly, not a word from the GOP establishment... but lord god if a congressman sex'ts a girlfriend, we better repudiate and excoriate him instantly... instead they all just mysteriously have something else to do and don't have the time to know what's going on.. of course they will pop up again when it's blown over or if Obama farts on camera..

more on this later.. ;)

“The speaker obviously believes the use of those words was inappropriate, as is trying to raise money off the situation,” Michael Steel, Boehner’s spokesman, told CNN.

that's all he has to say?

that's not a 'condemnation/repudiation' for cpl reasons.... first,it includes a 'but'.. ya know what I mean.. "I'm sorry I busted you in the head BUT,you made me angry"..

the BUT in this case is "as is trying to raise money off the situation".. there's no 'buts' here, just condemn it and begone... but now, he's  placing the fund raising up as being equally inappropriate as Rush's "slut" comment.. no, the two are not the same.. one is totally different than the other..and it's not only inappropriate to lump the two together, but it's insulting as hell..

and there's nothing on everything else.. the 'let us watch' and other shit he said..

not too mention the 'speaker' only cares about the use of the word.. fuck the word, it's the sentiment and/or the misogyny that's the problem..

I don't accept this as 'repudiation'..

but I'm pissed about this so....

Oh...now (on Twitter) they're coming up with the Freedom of Speech thing. As I said on FB...

Quote
I have a problem with bigots hiding behind the First Amendment (http://thelasttradition.blogspot.com/2012/03/liberals-smell-blood-in-water-and-want.html). It's not about that, it's about pigs acting like pigs.
Quote
After 20 years or so that Rush Limbaugh has been on air, Liberals smell blood in the water. A seek and destroy full-scale boycott effort is underway on Twitter (spearheaded by @StopRush, an online activist who led a boycott of Glenn Beck's Fox News show in 2009) and with the Daily Kos circulating a petition urging advertisers to join the protest.

However, I must point out Liberals have been falsely accusing Rush Limbaugh of being a racist, misogynist, chauvinist, homophobic, Islamphobic, boorish, divisive, and a hater for standing up for traditional values. At this point the battle is much bigger than Limbaugh calling Sandra Fluke a “slut” which under our 1st amendment as a citizen he has the right to do so. The question now becomes does the 1st amendment provision of Free Speech means what it says or does the Liberal concept of “political correctness” which has always been an attack on the 1st amendment win the day?

And this is a good indicator of what's going on today. It's from some commie pinko fag site (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/03/03/1070726/-Ann-Coulter-Rush-and-newspapers?via=siderecent):

Quote
We have moved from a society that valued education and intelligence to a society that has a  candidate for President that believes colleges are bad and that encouraging people to go to college or vocational training makes you a snob. In 1960 individual states in this wonderful country of ours could outlaw the sale of contraceptives. In 2012 we have Presidential candidates who would go back to that time. In the 1960’s we had sheriffs and governors who demonized civil rights activists, beat them up and threw them in jail. In 2012 we having state legislatures introducing bills that  will make it a felony to protest. In 1968 I cried in sorrow when they first killed Martin Luther King, Jr. and then Bobby Kennedy. I was ten years old. Forty years later, I like to think that MLK,Jr and RFK, along with my mother, were there with me when I voted for Barak Obama for President.

Quote
No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show. We hope that our action, along with the other advertisers who have already withdrawn their ads, will ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse.

even Mitt's statement iis bullshit..

"I'll just say this, which is, it's not the language I would have used," Romney said, after appearing in a rally at Cleveland State University. "I'm  focusing on the issues I think are significant in the country today and that's why I'm here talking about jobs and Ohio."

so he'd still call her names, just not the 'slut' name? so what? Jezebel?Whore?Fornicator?

dude, dudes just don't fucking get it.. It's not just the 'word'.. it's the sentiment behind the whole thing. She's being called these names because she uses modern medicine... Jesus, Rush named this issue and it's not at all about 'freedom of religion' it's that men don't like the idea of women being able to fuck like them and also not have the consequences of  the free-fucks.. Santorum doesn't like the idea of sex for pleasure at all.. that's what this is about, women, slatterns, being able to screw with out consequences and some men just can't stand that concept.. too fucking bad!@ GET OUT OF OUR BEDROOMS!!!!!!!!

She's a Slut. She said so, in Nancy Pelosi's make believe Committee. She said: "I am getting laid, so much, that I can't afford my Pills. I spread my legs in so many beds, so many stairwells, and on the Hoods of so many cars at the Keg Parties, every week, that I need some to GIVE ME MONEY."

it got worse after that, but that snippet proves how fucking dumb these people are...the amount of sex doesn't coincide with the amount of pill.. you take one a day, every day at the same time.. whether you're 'bent over so many chairs' or not..

I hope Ms Fluke is collecting all this for her lawsuit..

Large portions of the right-wing media complex saw nothing wrong with that kind of behavior; saw nothing wrong with the 53 bullying smears Limbaugh unloaded on the student in front of his national radio audience. Not only did they defend Limbaugh, they lashed out at anyone who suggested the titan talker lacked common sense. And then they stomped on Sandra Fluke's reputation some more.

A sample of the swill:

-Fox News contributor Michelle Malkin denounced Fluke as a "femme-agogue tool."

-The right-wing site Jawa Report illustrated a post about Fluke with a picture of a tattoo that reads "Semen Demon."

-Pam Geller wrote that Fluke is "banging it five times a day" and that "calling this whore a slut was a softball."

-Accuracy in Media's Don Irvine called her a "skank."

-Former CPAC Blogger of The Year, Ace of Spades, called Fluke a "shiftless rent-a-cooch from East Whoreville."

-Michelle Malkin guest blogger Doug Ross used "Got Slut?" in a headline and suggested Fluke suffered from "nymphomania."

-Dana Loesch complained the controversy surrounding Limbaugh's three-day "slut" campaign represented a "manufactured" story. (This, before Limbaugh responded to the "manufactured" story by issuing a rare public statement.)

Meanwhile...the list of sponsors leaving is

The steady stream of advertisers fleeing Rush Limbaugh's radio show continued on Monday and Tuesday, as at least eight more sponsors announced they would no longer run commercials on the program in the wake of Limbaugh's offensive comments about Sandra Fluke.

Even though Limbaugh has apologized for calling Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute" for her advocacy of insurance coverage of birth control, advertisers are still moving towards the exits. On Monday night, makeup company Bare Escentuals told its Twitter followers that it was pulling its ads:

On Tuesday, Think Progress listed five additional companies who have vacated the show: AccuQuote, ServiceMagic, Polycom, Hadeed Carpet and Thompson Creek Windows.

The eight businesses join at least nine others (including AOL, parent company of The Huffington Post) in ending their association with Limbaugh's show. Two radio stations have also dropped the program in the wake of Limbaugh's comments about Fluke.

On Monday, Limbaugh addressed the advertisers leaving his show.

"They decided they don't want you or your business anymore," he said. "This program is always about you... I knew the political inclinations of these people. They didn't care that they were profiting, and I didn't either. No radio broadcast will succeed by putting business ahead of the needs of its loyal audience."

The Repubs are displaying their exact mentality with this.  The pundits and Govs. and Reps. I've seen since this all started (Just a few seconds ago, saw Bob Mcdonnell), what I would consider the hardliners, are ALL about the economy now..."We've got MORE important issues here, ya sneaky libs trying to make this an issue with Rush."

I honestly believe they thought they could go down this road and downplay it's "supposed" importance by drowning it with "jobs" and "the economy"...and now the "Potential war with Iran" has been added.  That was going to be their goto.  "Do whatever else you want, because we can always come back and drown this shit with *more* pressing issues."

They calibrated that shit oh so wrong.  This isn't the *side item* they think it is.  This won't go away with the female voters.  Yes, they're concerned with jobs and the economy and potential war...but it's ludicrous to believe that they'd define things of importance in category's of *lesser than* and not view them ALL as equally important...least of which is their own participation in helping or ignoring their own return to some status of *lesser than*.

I thinking while I was driving today.

Popa Bear had his crusades against rappers when Common was invited to the White House. O'Reilly was talking about rappers putting down women by using the words bitches and hoes. I guess if rappers could find more words to rhyme with slut and prositute it would be OK.

Someone just did that on Hal Boedecker's blog. Here's what I replied with:

The whining about Maher/Palin, et al is silly. The big difference is Palin is a public figure who paraded her slut daughter and family before the nation for financial gain. Limbaugh slandered a private citizen and should pay for his words.

Meanwhile, Rush has at least one new advertiser (http://www.bizjournals.com/prnewswire/press_releases/2012/03/06/LA65845)standing by him:

Quote
LOS ANGELES, March 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Rush Limbaugh's radio comments about Georgetown student, Sandra Fluke, in which he called her a "slut" and "prostitute," have cost him dearly. In the past few days, groups such as Daily Kos Blog and Media Matters for America have called for a boycott of Limbaugh's show. Two radio stations have dropped his show and 26 advertisers, including Quicken Loans, ProFlowers, Sleep Train, Sleep Number, Legal Zoom, All State and Sears, have currently withdrawn from advertising.

Despite the public outrage, SeekingArrangement.Com, the world's largest "sugar daddy" and "sugar baby" website, announced today its decision to begin advertising on the Rush Limbaugh show for the first time ever. The moniker of "sugar daddy" is that of an older, successful, wealthy man romantically involved with a younger, beautiful woman, much like the relationship that Rush shares with his much younger wife, Kathryn Rogers.

Shit like this just can't be made up! Let's hear it for those republican family values!!

he's lost 2 radio stations from what I've heard...

that'll hurt more than the sponsers.

as for 'tit for tat'.... even Ed Shultz got suspended for calling one the Fox-girls "slut".. so Palin, et al can go fuck themselves on their replies of "hey, this guy did it and..." and nothing, the left took care of it's own.. the right otoh, doesn't say shit.

remember  this..

"Concerning Letterman's comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he'd ever dare make such comments about anyone else's daughter): 'Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is not only disgusting, but it reminds us some Hollywood/NY entertainers have a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands -- that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone's daughter, contributes to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.'"

yet,not a single  peep on a fat-junkie radio host demanding to watch an innocent girl have sex though and calling her a slut and prostitute to boot..

weird... because when you strike out parts of that, that's pretty much the exact same thing many are screaming about Rush, only she and the GOP are ignoring it.. thus, as she says, contributing to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.

Speaking of which...here's the tube link to Ed's apology.  No caveats. No pity me. No victim card. No conspiracy. No digs.  Just a straight up 3 minute apology, full of contrite regret and a readiness to accept whatever the powers that be deem appropriate.  It's how you do an apology.

Leave it to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to one-up Rush Limbaugh in the name-calling department.

"Speaking of prostitutes, big oil's top call girl Sen Inhofe wants to kill fuel economy backed by automakers, small biz, enviros, & consumers," the New York-based environmentalist wrote Tuesday on Twitter.

Kennedy was targeting Inhofe for a letter the Oklahoma Republican sent last week to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson that questions the Obama administration's fuel economy and air pollution policies.

Inhofe spokesman Matt Dempsey said Kennedy's tweet crosses the line, especially in the wake of Limbaugh’s apology to a Georgetown University student after calling her a ‘prostitute’ during an on-air broadcast.

"It's hard to believe that Robert Kennedy Jr. would choose to use such language — especially this week," Dempsey said. "I bet he now regrets it."

Kennedy told POLITICO that he stands by his tweet.

"Well, I think it's an opportunity for Americans to compare the relative moral positions of the two acts in question and which is more harmful to our country,” he said. “In Sen. Inhofe's case, here's a U.S. senator whose job is to serve the American public who has made a clear and unambiguous choice to serve the moneyed interests of oil companies.”

The context with which Mr. Limbaugh used it was wrong and immoral,” Kennedy Jr. added. “But it’s not immoral in using it to apply to a politician who is selling his office.

Amen, brotha, amen!

Speaking of which...here's the tube link to Ed's apology.  No caveats. No pity me. No victim card. No conspiracy. No digs.  Just a straight up 3 minute apology, full of contrite regret and a readiness to accept whatever the powers that be deem appropriate.  It's how you do an apology.

yep.

but Ed was sorry... Rush isn't... and neither is many in the GOP. That's the difference.

"It doesn't matter what the circumstance were".. "I have embarrassed my family, my company..  this is the lowest of low for me"... "I take full responsibility for what I said and how I said it"

not a single "BUT" not a single "I sank to the liberals level, the pit of hell where these disgusting, vile, abusive and evil people on the left live in immoral filth"..

That video is how a Man apologizes.

That's because Schultz is a man. Rush and the majority of the Republican Party, not so much...
