Title: Christian Child Abuse Post by: Howey on May 07, 2012, 05:02:51 pm Tomorrow North Carolina citizens will vote on a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Even though the state already has a law banning gay marriage and this one is predicted to be a legal nightmare (http://www.ballotpedia.org/wiki/index.php/North_Carolina_Same-Sex_Marriage,_Amendment_1_%28May_2012%29) and could very well end benefits for unmarried heterosexual partners. (Think Alabama's illegal law in drag.)
Quote Same-sex marriage is currently illegal in North Carolina. But the measure's proponents are hoping North Carolina will join the 12 other Southern states with a constitutional amendment formally defining marriage as being between a man and a woman. "The amendment will allow the people of North Carolina to decide what marriage is defined as," said state Senator Daniel Soucek, a Republican sponsor of the bill. The law also bans civil unions as well as same-sex marriages. "It's not just the term 'marriage,'" he told The Huffington Post. "It's all of the societal communal building blocks that make up traditional marriage. We think that's the healthiest way to raise children." I'd like to highlight this part of the above quote: "It's all of the societal communal building blocks that make up traditional marriage. We think that's the healthiest way to raise children." Really. Below is a video of Fayetteville preacher man Sean Harris, telling his fellow "Christians" how to abuse their effeminate children. Really! This is nothing more than child abuse...is it authorized by God? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKDWdfTkr-o&feature=player_embedded Quote So your little son starts to act a little girlish when he is four years old and instead of squashing that like a cockroach and saying, ‘Man up, son, get that dress off you and get outside and dig a ditch, because that is what boys do,’ you get out the camera and you start taking pictures of Johnny acting like a female and then you upload it to YouTube and everybody laughs about it and the next thing you know, this dude, this kid is acting out childhood fantasies that should have been squashed… Can I make it any clearer? Dads, the second you see your son dropping the limp wrist, you walk over there and crack that wrist. Man up. Give him a good punch. Okay? You are not going to act like that. You were made by God to be a male and you are going to be a male. I have to wonder...just how long will it be before this preacher's caught sucking dick? Jesus was unmarried at 33, wore a dress and had long hair. He'd be hanging nailed to a cross! Title: Re: Christian Child Abuse Post by: uselesslegs on May 08, 2012, 01:12:18 pm We need fights like these. It's wholly and completely unfortunate and bullshit, but we need them. Howey, Nutty, EKG, myself represent a very small portion of the U.S. that is even somewhat informed, politically and domestically. The larger percentage are just average citizens, leading their average lives, who have little interest in most things beyond the nightly news. We need things like this to blow up so they register on the radar of these average Americans, who otherwise are under the impression that life and progress are proceeding forward. It's the only way to get their attention.
"This is an issue? In the 21st century? Why and when did this happen? What is going on?" I can't tell you how many people I talk to on a regular basis who are uninformed about some pretty basic politics (on either side of the aisle) as well as state and federal policy that can or will affect them and their family. They need a giant neon heads up to get their attention. These aren't dumb people, they're people who just assume policy and legislation is being made with their best interests in mind. They can't conceive that policy would be purposely proposed to hurt them financially or to halt progress, stagnate it, or take us backwards. If I could thank President Obama for anything, it would be that by his mere presence in the Oval Office, he's exposing the average American to the underbelly of the country that is alive and well and still carries quite a bit of authority and power. What's going on in N.C. is just one of many examples of the head scratching legislation that's becoming so pervasive across the country. The average American NEEDS to see this. They need to be exposed and understand how ludicrous, and quite frankly scary, it's becoming. They may not connect all the dots, but we need them to be involved. Title: Re: Christian Child Abuse Post by: Howey on May 21, 2012, 05:14:56 pm Just a *tad* disturbing huh? haha. No. What's insane is the number of states (GA, SC, VA, WVA, AL, OK, KS, MS, TX, NV and others) that are filled with equally crazy legislators and citizens. Maybe they all need to buy battleships. |
