Title: Re: Chuck Post by: uselesslegs on June 21, 2012, 02:28:34 pm How'd it go? Well, the scar I'll be wearing now under my left eye isn't the lighting bolt I was told, "sure, no prob, we can do that." It's a god damn smiley face. "We'd rather keep the cut to the contour of your cheek and eye." "So doing a lighting bolt is just surgically a no-no?" "No, we could...but we won't"...liars!!! It was a "worry" spot, but further tests (as I sat in my chair with a gaping whole in my face for 25 minutes) turned out to be cancer free. Sewing me back up required 3 internal stitches and 8 exterior stitches. I'll try to get a picture of it today and post it for anyone interested in a tad bit of hackery. The DAY OF...no prob, even after the numb juice wore off. But last night was a killer, holy shit. Like the dull, constant thudding of a toothache, on my cheek. I don't think I fell asleep until close to 5 or so this morning...didn't get up until 12:30 today. I can't remember the last time I slept in that late. Makes me feel like a total slacker, ugh. BUT...today, since I woke up...no pain at all. I'm sure within a day or two my new foe will be the insane urge to itch it...but for now...all is good. I'm still really bummed they wouldn't do the lighting bolt, haha. |
