At best to the low domes who are undecided it's a toss up.   At fuckin best.  I want to hire Romney's handlers to work for me!  They've turned that fuckin Romnotron into the slickest used car salesman in the world.  Amazing work.  It'd be like making King Howey seem like he's not a cunt.  Like Romney's last four years of his right wing bull shit never happened.   POOF!   Fucker spews more shit than my ass did the last time I had the bad flu and lived on the toilet for two days (and I had tickets to the FSU/UF game that I couldn't use to go with my daughter) except I didn't smile during it.  And now a post from my daughters 21 year old friend.  "Katrina XXXXX, as long as Obama is in office, our national deficit will NEVER be reduced. Why doesn't anyone understand that???? Lies".   A 21 year old woman swallows his BS cum shot right to the back of the throat and says "thank you sir".   But then again she was a Ron Paul supporter before that option was no longer available.

I think it was back and forth the first forty minutes or so. Then Romney started doubling down on the lies and condescending attitude and started losing it.

It started with O's comment on his pension. Then a one-two on the Libya exchange with O shaming Romney with his Rose garden speech, then Crowley kicking Romney in the ballz agreeing with the prez.

Loved how O saved the 47% til the end.

I'll give it to Romney, he can hold his own...

or he could.. until I figured out he was saying the exact same fucking thing over and over and over...

-"To me it's about jobs"..

meaning, he will gut everything.. if his 1% tell him they'll create a job.. epa, clean water,no ban on guns, repeal obamacare, more troops in some war, getting rid of pell grants, gas prices..whatever it is,whatever it's cost.. he'll with jobs as an excuse the same way Bush used 911 for an excuse for everything.

"I know how to get this economy going again"

-Do you have specifics? yes, I know how.
-Will you expand pell grants? I know how to get this economy going again.
-What will you do for gas prices? I know how to get this economy going again.
-Can you tell us about yourself? I know how to get this economy going again. I know how to get this economy going again.I know how to get this economy going again.I know how to get this economy going again.

"I did it for the Olympics"

-What's your energy policy? To me this is about jobs.I know how to get this economy going again. I did it for the Olympics.
-You said you were before a weapons ban, now you're against it? To me this is about jobs.I know how to get this economy going again. I did it for the Olympics.
-You have a long term plan, but what do have for ppl who need work today? To me this is about jobs.I know how to get this economy going again. I did it for the Olympics.
-What will you do for equal pay for women? To me this is about jobs.I know how to get this economy going again. I did it for the Olympics. To me this is about jobs.I know how to get this economy going again. I did it for the Olympics.

and there you have Mitt Romney's debate in full..

But, he held his own with the repetition.. He got his kicked in the balls when he got FactChecked in the middle of debate. I wish she'd have done it again when he hung everything on the erroneous idea that oil production was 14% down on federal lands when it's really up 10% because that down turn was from '09-'10 and caused by Katrina.. but was up before and is back up now..

and he came off so exquisitely whiny when he would talk over Candy Crowley like she was a nothing.. and then just go ahead and answer what he wanted to answer anyway.. and the one woman who asked the GWB question? "Sorry lady, I want to go back to the other question so just sit down and knit a hat while us men talk for a minute".. wtf?

and Libya.. OMG! He pissed POTUS off with how he  handled that.. you could see and feel how offended Obama was..and how little he respected Mitt.. and the juxtaposition of Mitt's answer on Libya and then POTUS' rebuttal made Mitt look jr league..

and yes, Obama was POTUS for that segment.. no if,ands, or buts about it..

Crowley held her own too.. "He got to talk 1st, so I get to talk last"..."I'm sorry Governor but that's not how it works in the rebuttal".. she did pretty good. Better than I expected actually..

UGH.. Romney just came off so fucking 'less than'.. I could see the college kid that held down that boy with the long hair and cut it because Mitt didn't think he should look that way.. I could see that person who thought it was what he thought that mattered and neither the president or the moderator.. or even the audience members mattered. he didn't have to explain himself, the math works because I said so... I like him less and less.. where weirdly, I liked GWB more and more during these debate..

with all that said.. a cnn poll has me perplexed..

Quote
Romney had a 49%-46% edge on which candidate seemed to be the stronger leader and 45%-43% margin on who answered questions more directly, while Obama had a 44%-40% advantage on which man seemed to care more about the audience members who asked questions.

if by 'answered questions more directly' you mean the scenes I already re-enacted before.. then yeah... wtf?

anyway.. did anyone see the families 'hug' each other afterwards? I saw Ann come onstage with a 'vinegar' look on her face but never actually saw he go to the Obama's and acknowledge them..

Naturally, Obama asked her to restate her point and she did. “Can you say that a little louder, Candy?” asked the president. “He -- he did call it an act of terror. It did as well take -- it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea there being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct about that,” she continued.

Conservatives were outraged, arguing that Crowley’s interruption spoiled a key Romney point. They weren’t the only ones. Even Politico’s Mike Allen called the Crowley point “arguable” and pointed to the transcript of Obama’s statement saying it “generally” referred to “acts of terror.” CNN’s John King called the Obama statement a “generic” comment about terror, not specifically calling the Libya attack a terrorist act.

a failed 'gotcha' was his 'key point'?

says alot..

but it's the last paragraph that I love..

And, as in the other two debates, the moderators let the Democratic candidate dominate the clock. This time, according to CNN’s own tally Obama won 44 minutes and 4 seconds to a mere 40 minutes and 50 seconds for Romney.

domination is >4 mins? Romney's 40 minutes to Obama's 44 is 'mere'..?

LOL, that's kinda hoity-toity isn't it?

I gotta agree with Darth again.  If you're a low information voter who's leaning right or a reactionary for ideology, Romney, once again, looked like he held his own and even dominated at times.  Facts don't matter, because they don't know them...and quite frankly...they'd rather not know them if they contradict and challenge them to really think because that would entail a readjustment in their reality.

They don't want that.  They like to THINK they're revolutionary in their thought process...but they're not really.  The parameters are pre-set, pre-programed.  Changes ARE allowed, but only when they're explained and reprogrammed by Fox, Rush, Hannity and Drudge.  You're not allowed to think on your own when a contradiction or direct conflict appears...you're to wait for new scripting that will fix the error's.

I have to readjust my reality constantly.  There's quite a few things about President Obama that have chapped my ass, but that IS reality.  No one is perfect and no one is devoid of flaws, including our leaders or those who want to be. To pretend they are, is being dishonest with not only yourself and reality...but it ill prepares you for dealing with reality in an mature fashion, where more often than not, you're constantly reshuffling your perceptions and knowledge to overwrite or readjust...and then you move on.  Sometimes it's dour. Sometimes it's enlightening. Sometimes it's something you absolutely didn't want to know...but that's fuck'in life. The good, the bad, the HOLY SHIT!  That's the real universe sunshine.

If these jackasses think you can take Government and the Private Sector and play it like Monopoly to get this country on track, then they're in for a very fucking rude awakening.  Because I'm not sure if they remember or not...but of the *winners* and *losers*?...the latter are busticated out of the game into oblivion.

I don't think it matters y'all..

RCP Average   10/7 - 10/16   47.6   47.0   Romney +0.6
Rasmussen Tracking   10/14 - 10/16      49   48   Romney +1
Gallup Tracking   10/10 - 10/16      51   45   Romney +6
IBD/TIPP Tracking   10/10 - 10/15   46   47   Obama +1
ABC News/Wash Post   10/10 - 10/13      46   49   Obama +3
Politico/GWU/Battleground   10/7 - 10/11      48   49   Obama +1
Monmouth/SurveyUSA/Braun   10/8 - 10/10      47   46   Romney +1
FOX News   10/7 - 10/9      46   45   Romney +1

I don't think O can overcome the 1st debate and the momentum it gave Romney... Had he given last night's debate 1st, Romney would be out of the game... but by fucking it up so badly.. he gave the Romney camp the validation that he can be president..

I think it's going to be a long 4 years..

And I hate to fuckin say it, but as you know in this country it isn't the popular vote that counts.  How totally fucked is that?  GWB did it.   I so wonder what the country would have been like had Gore had the balls to go to the wall with it?  But he graced out for the sake of the country.  No Pub would have done that.  Mayby it's the Dem's turn?

Wait. It wasn't Romney that went out looking for qualified women, a group came to him! (http://www.boston.com/politicalintelligence/2012/10/17/binders-full-women-mitt-romney-claim-not-entirely-accurate/jrKRRGSIPqjvuKX8dgq6gL/story.html)

Quote
WASHINGTON – In the debate on Tuesday night, Mitt Romney said that he made every effort to find qualified women to appoint to cabinet positions when he was governor of Massachusetts.

“Well, gosh,” he said he told his staff who had an abundance of male applicants, “Can’t we find some -- some women that are also qualified?”

“I went to a number of women’s groups and said, ‘Can you help us find folks?’” Romney added. “And they brought us whole binders full of women.”

Those “binders full of women” actually came from a coalition called Massachusetts Government Appointments Project, or MassGAP, that had formed in August 2002 to address the shortage of women in high-ranking government positions. They had started assembling groups of applicants, taking several months to reach out to women’s organizations around the state and preparing to present potential hires to whichever candidate won the election.

“We contacted both candidates before the final election,” said Liz Levin, who was chairman of MassGAP until 2010. “This was an effort that we put our hearts in. We wanted to make sure that people knew how many good, qualified, terrific ladies there were.”

Romney agreed to work with the group, Levin said, and he appointed Kerry Healey, the incoming lieutenant governor, to be the liaison to MassGAP. Several weeks after the election, they presented several hundred applicants to Healey, said Levin, who is an Obama supporter but stressed that MassGAP is a bipartisan group.

And yes, there were binders.

“There were actual binders involved,” Levin said. “Big binders. They were big. It was before stuff was done, like it is now, electronically.”

The binders had several tabs, she said, dividing the applicants into different areas of state government, such as education, transportation, or public safety.

Romney did have several women in prominent positions -- such as Beth Myers, as chief of staff, or Healey, as lieutenant governor – and he made an effort to hire more women.

Midway through his four-year term, 42 percent of his 33 new appointments were women, according to a study done by the UMass Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy using some of the data collected by MassGAP.

But over the next two years, women made up only 25 percent of the 64 new appointments Romney made. By the end of his term, the number of women in high-ranking positions was slightly lower than it was before Romney took office.
