so why isn't the follow-up question..

"Does that mean you are also voting your race? Because it's Romney being white that makes you proud and supportive of him?"

Of course someone can't vote for Obama because even with congressional obstruction he managed to keep the country from going over the financial cliff.

Guess I need to go look in a mirror to see how black I am.

It just irks me this keeps being part of the cycle of "think."  You have people who will vote for Romney because he's white.  You have people who will vote Democrat because they'll never vote Republican...and visa-verse. Latino's voting for Latino's and. Women for Women and so on.

BUT...there are quite a bit of voters who legitimately take the time to know who's on the ballot, their thoughts, previous and past record as it pertains to policies and voting...and make their decision based on that alone.  Towing party, racial, gender, or sexual orientation line isn't a primary concern.  It's who can do the best job.

I highly doubt someone like Colin Powell deferred his choice, ultimately, based on race.  While I could buy the logic, if it was about some of my next door neighbors who are Romney wing nuts no matter what, Powell's got his shit a bit more together and the bigger picture is more of a concern.

Romney's camp could of severed ties with ole Johnny boy as a surrogate anytime they wanted.  They keep him around because he says what they want to say, but can't for appearances sake.  "Well yea, he's a surrogate, but he's a hard one to control, ya know? *wink,wink*"

It's like when HRC was running and then McCain picked Palin because he just knew those women supporting HRC would be magnetically driven to vote for the Vagina.. like all of our cycles would sync up..and we'd braid each others hair.... we're women, of course it was about vagina.. Of course it does because he sees another GWB happening.. a privileged person with no foreign policy experience,knowledge or even interest.. giving sole custody of our FP over to radical hawks who would destroy everything in our wake just because they get hard thinking about it.. and since Romney has the same fucking advisers on his team that GWB did, it's not hard leap for anyone to make into the 'no fucking way we can live through that again' column..

and Powell would especially be wary of that kind of admin since it was the last one who lied to him thus making him complicit in their lie when he gave his credibility to the war..
