Every time equivalency was dragged out...I couldn't wrap my head around what the presses definition of equivalency was.  I read or saw, time after time, this horrible horrible attempt, by the media at large, to do their best to make EVERYTHING journalistically neutral REGARDLESS of the information involved or known...or the misinformation involved or known.

"We must appear fair when giving the story."  The fuck you do!  2+2 isn't debatable.  It equals 4..any other number as the sum of the equation is a lie.  I don't give a flying fuck that someone has a differing opinion or belief...any other answer than 4 is an inexcusable bullshit run, away from reality.  Report that shit.  Drown them in it.  Hammer them into embarrassed oblivion.

I'm not talking about stories that have several layers that must be unwrapped while being reported...I'm talking about Hurricanes being cause by people being gay, times 100.  I actually witnessed a report mentioning that fact, done as monotone and as emotionless as possible, thrown in for who knows the fuck why, regarding Sandy.  If that reporter felt it was a news worthy mention...fire them.  If the news room muckity mucks thought it added another layer to the story...fuck'in fire them too.  I'm soooooooo tired of this bullshit.  "Oh, so you're against free speech?"  I'm against utter ignorance, that runs completely contrary to reality, you horse cunt!  I can't remember, in my lifetime, when I've seen so much obtuseness given a legitimate platform...or at least a platform that use to be legitimate.

Me too.

The lies were soooo rampant over the year and a half or so I honestly think they started believing their own BS. The Grand Ol' Party lost it to a bunch of fucking loons.

exactly..

How many times over the last 4 years.. hell maybe even more than that.. have you and I talked about the difference betweem Fox news and the rest? Fox takes an utter bullshit opinion, expounds the opinion in the morning, mentions again it in the afternoon, and by night time it's "people are reporting".. or 'we are getting reports of..".. and lo and  behold 3 days later it's on CNN because CNN is afraid to lose out on the 'scoop'..

Dick Cheney got us into a war by using this NYT this way.. He used Judith Miller (of the Valarie Plame debacle). He would give her an 'anonymous' story which she would report as gospel from 'white house/intelligence sources' and then fucking Cheney would go on Russert's Meet the Press  and says "It was reported in the NYTimes that Saddam was trying to buy yellowcake"... WTF? How did Miller let him do that?

ratings and money..

and not a single peep about any of that.. including Miller's contribution to Valerie Plame's outing, again thru Dick Cheney..

because to talk about that made you 'with the terrorist'.. it made you biased...

say what you want about GWB, he was fucking brilliant at killing any and all independent news from ever existing again in our lifetime..

Don't like what the admin is saying? Then you're with the terrorist, you're only in your job due to nepotism.. you're the 'lame stream media'..

when a quote given by a fictional character  makes more sense than reality..

Facts are the center. We don’t pretend that certain facts are in dispute to give the appearance of fairness to people who don’t believe them.  Balance is irrelevant to me.  It doesn’t have anything to do with truth, logic or reality. ~Charlie Skinner (the Newsroom)

you know things are phucked!
