Title: It's Not Optional, Stupid
Post by: Howey on January 16, 2013, 04:35:29 pm
WTF is with these idiots? Have they even attempted to read the Constitution? You can't just not enforce laws (http://www.kval.com/politics/Sheriff-to-VP-I-wont-enforce-any-new-gun-laws-187043401.html#Letter) because you don't like them!
Quote
ALBANY, Ore. - The sheriff of an Oregon county sent a letter to Vice President Joe Biden on Monday saying he and his deputies would not enforce - nor allow federal officials to enforce - any new federal firearms laws in his county, according to a copy of the letter posted on the Linn County Sheriff's Office website.

"Politicians are attempting to exploit the deaths of innocent victims by advocating for laws that would prevent honest, law abiding Americans from possessing certain firearms and ammunition magazines," Sheriff Tim Mueller wrote in the letter dated January 14, 2013. "Any federal regulation enacted by Congress or by executive order of the President offending the constitutional rights of my citizens shall not be enforced by me or by my deputies, nor will I permit the enforcement of any unconstitutional regulations or orders by federal officers within the borders of Linn County, Oregon.

"In summary, it is the position of this Sheriff that I refuse to participate, or stand idly by, while my citizens are turned into criminals due to the unconstitutional actions of misguided politicians," Mueller said.

Crook County Sheriff Jim Hensley said Tuesday he sent the same letter to Biden that was sent Monday by Linn County Sheriff Mueller.

They want a war. A divinely righteous Christian, uber patriotic, primarily white male 1800's reassertion of domination war.  The DAY President Obama won his first term...the wheels started coming off the wagons.

that's exactly what they're saying isn't it? Rand Paul's "I don't want a King and will leave no stone unturned to prevent one".. Texas pols saying  they'll arrest any fed that tries to enforce the law and saying they'll bring up impeachment proceedings.. and this guy with his..

""Any federal regulation enacted by Congress or by executive order of the President"

by Congress even.. the whole Congress.. this guy won't abide by any law.. none..

"nor will I permit the enforcement"

nor will he all even the enforcement by anyone entering into his county..even if Congress drafts the law and the President signs it..

"I refuse to participate, or stand idly by,"

what exactly does this mean? he refuses to 'stand idly by'... so he will take real action...to stop any thing or any one from passing a law or enforcing a constitutional passed, by Congress and signed by POTUS, law (assuming there was one)...what action does he mean exactly?

By Goddamn if I'll allow my state to report who's crazy or not!

By Goddamn over my dead body will I allow that spearchucking usurper to tell me my state can have funds for securtity guards in my school..

seriously, what the fuck is going on?  we have this insanity.. but start a war with a lie and you get ......

.....

.....

.....

.....
.....crickets..

That will go over real well for them.  It would be almost fun to watch if it wouldn't cause so much damage to the nation, innocent civilians and economy.  Somehow I think the feds have a bigger stick.  But what if you have some psycho Governor order his states national guard to go up against the feds (eventually US military)?  Then throw in some nut case Tea Party civilians with weapons to help out on their own because, you know, they're true patriots?  I think they call that civil war.  Now one would think that the generals(?) in charge of the guard and much of the rank and file would say fuck off.  But you never really know in a dark red state do you?  Shit they were pretty much all raised there and have the mores of where they were raised.  But at the end of the day the pontificating assholes will do nothing.

Interesting...

Seems some with badges fall in line with Alex Jones...

except they are officials and they didn't express their position with the same animation as Alex...

Per the Constitution...and subsequent amendmants...

Their actions are not unconstitutional...and they are well within their respective rights...

There is a seperation between federal and state...

and the state is made up of counties...which are further seperated from the federal...

The Supreme Court will decide the issue and resolve the situation by making a ruling...

dependant upon that ruling , the feds will proceed...

Of course during this entire time the feds will be using everything within their disposal to

change the situation...every dirty little trick they know and use regularly until the pressure is too much

Alex Jones...Today's Paul Revere

they're losing their minds.. Huffpo headline..

(Rand)PAUL GOES OFF! 'WE WILL NULLIFY' GUN LEGISLATION

FURY: Tennessee Rep. Proposes Bill Targeting Federal Agents... Mississippi Gov: I'll Block... Second Congressman Floats Impeachment... Wyoming Lawmaker: Make Assault Weapons Enforcement A Felony... LONE STAR LOON: Rep. Tries To Ban Gun Laws... LAWLESS SHERIFFS: We Won't Enforce Gun Laws... NRA UNHINGED: Ad Targets Obama Children... 'Fight Of The Century'

what do Obama's 23 EO do?

Quote
Because these recommendations require congressional approval, the administration is supplementing its proposal with 23 executive actions that will be taken immediately. Those actions include requiring federal agencies to hand over relevant data for a background check system; providing law enforcement officials, first responders and school officials with better training for active shooting situations; directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence; and many more.

what was Rand Pauls' reply on Hannity?

Paul continued: "I'm afraid that President Obama may have this king complex sort of developing ... I think there's a history of this arrogance."

hmm, I think he means 'uppity'..

continuing with Paul's plan..

Paul’s bill will set out to nullify Obama’s executive actions, deny any federal funding for their implementation, and allow members of Congress and state officials to challenge the actions in court.

-you asked for more cops, he gives you more cops.. now he's a king and you'll deny the funding for more cops.
-you don't want no stinking background checks! the usurper doesn't know his damn place!
-better training to police,teachers,1st responders in the event of another shooter? That democrat oversteps his power!Check and Balances!Checks and Balances!
-more research for prevention? That's it! IMPEACH HIM!

when is the media? Why do we have to get a true-blue 'what the fuck is wrong with you' question from the likes of Jon Stewart or a fiction Will McAvoy?  Where is David Greggory? Brain Williams?Bob Schieffer? why is asking what the fuck is wrong with you a 'partisan' question?

It's the redheaded step child syndrome.  Everyone acts like, had ANYONE come up with these actions, the NRA would still react badly to them...even the ones they initially suggested.  I don't believe that's true at all.  If anyone *except* President Obama laid these out...other than some grumbling over a few items...they'd have been like, "Ya know...these are sensible and I'm glad to see they listened to what we said. We're not fans of some of these and we should talk about those...but otherwise, good job!"

The level of disdain, even when it's subdued, is always palpable.  I think the fringe is under the impression that President Obama is always unnecessarily shielded from deserving criticism from political fan boys. While I'll admit every admin has them...the fringe can't delineate between fan boys and the average public calling them out for hyper criticism, even of the most mundane. If President Obama was involved...it's bad...it's always bad.  There's always a pitfall, always something non-benevolent hidden...and even when there's nothing to actually point towards...they'll point anyway. Even a positive, can have a negative...if you're willing to tear it down to sub-atomic levels...and they do it, gladly.  It goes beyond party politics and ideological uber supporters.

Case in point.  It's no secret that I was no fan of G.W. I didn't vote for him in either election.  That said, he was my President.  I called him out when I felt he made poor policy decisions and I applauded him when I felt he made good ones.  Sure, I might have had a party line bug up my ass, because he wasn't the guy I wanted in office...but my critiques weren't powered by my ideology...and I wasn't "breaking ranks" when I agreed favorably with something he did.  Even the most rabid, devoted sports fan, can wipe the mouth foam away and admit when their rivals pull out a good play. "I hate to admit it, but fuck, that play? Jesus Christ. That was a thing of beauty! Damnit man!"

But this new crop of political fringe? Oh heeeellllll no.  If President Obama jumped through the front window of their mothers burning house and got her out, jumped back in and saved her dog, jumped back in and grabbed all the family pictures off the wall, made it back out and lay there on the ground with second and 3rd degree burns on his body, asking the mother if she and the dog were alright...the son arriving at the scene would say, "What? You didn't get the DVR? My Mom's 4 favorite shows she was going to watch tonight were on there! THANKS Obam'er!"

These individuals aren't just hyper partisan, they've gone to plaid.

They're just fuckin bat shit nuts!  Isn't it all about the "constitution" with these fuck tards?  Oh, except when it works against them.  It's a god damned alternate universe.  The Republican bubble is made out of the same shit they used to make the heat shields for the space shuttle with a Titanium base.  http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/borowitzreport/2013/01/republicans-accuse-obama-of-using-position-as-president-to-lead-country.html (http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/borowitzreport/2013/01/republicans-accuse-obama-of-using-position-as-president-to-lead-country.html)
