It's kind of scary to think just how many people honestly can't separate their ideology/politics from bigotry...and in many instances, for many people, they're one in the same. Race, wealth, religion, non-religion, gender, sexual orientation, party affiliation don't matter to me. My number one criteria is, "Can you get the job done?" Can you separate yourself from influence that doesn't belong in secular governance? I want common sense back in politics and not common sense that's calibrated from greed, fear, bigotry, entitlement, ignorance. I don't want people on the Science Committee who don't believe in it and stifle/hinder it's inclusion in our society. I don't want people on Educational Committees who don't give a fuck about education. I don't want people on Environmental Committees who don't give a fuck about the environment. I don't want people on Labor and Jobs Committees who don't give a fuck about Laborers. I don't want people on Economic/Financial Committees who aren't economists and who are obligated to a very select few in our society to introduce legislation on their behalf..and think burning the country to the ground economically for political gain is...acceptable. I don't want people on Foreign Affairs committees who shit themselves if someones darker than pearl. I want intelligent, critical/logical thinking, non-beholden, non-bigoted, non-war mongering, non-religious war-mongering, non-fear driven, non-hate driven, secular-minded people who react to situations based on the reality of the situations...and not because their asshole exploded over per-conditioned bullshit they can't separate from their legislative duties. I was laughing while I was reading that because you would think that you're just saying this.. ya know, like, this is what you're saying you don't want not because it's what we have,but because who in their right mind would want a gov't run by that kind of idiocy... so the fact that this is exactly the gov't we do have at this moment in time.. congressppl who don't believe in science or that the earth is more than 4000 years old, who believe dinosaurs roamed with man..chairing the science committee... who have less economic knowledge than I do..running financial committees.. etc etc etc .. you have to laugh or you'd just go insane.. and when you add in you have an entire fanatical-side of a party, leading that party and getting themselves elected.. making them an entire party that what? hates government.. hates beyond reason.. when you have them actually running the gov't.. well how can it go wrong? It's a problem that reflects a division, that brings with it, a Congress and Senate that mirrors that division and it's ignorance and fear. Scoff all you want, but it got many like minded individuals into positions of legislative authority in both Houses and on Committees.
We have people who aren't just suspect of Government, there to act as stewards, but people who hate Government...running it. People who "aren't quite sure" the President was eligible to be such, walking the halls of the Congress and the Senate as political representatives...and affording a *fake* President *according respect.* The scenario alone would be laughable, if not for the very real consequences involved...because this isn't just about one loathing fear and hate driven rep beating the electoral odds and becoming a Congressperson or Senator, driving the other representatives batty. This is about MANY loathing fear and hate driven reps (and more moderate reps scared to oppose them) bringing our Government to a willful standstill. Not because they require our patience as they implement better solutions...it's to stop solutions they don't want/like...while offering little to none. Oh, excuse me...they offered *entitlement cuts* (when they're needed most), even bigger tax breaks for the wealthiest (who need it least), ending ACA (40 times) with nothing to replace it (well nothing that will work), reversing Roe V Wade, no realistic Jobs Bill, disenfranchising minority/poor voters. More money to the military that have expressed they don't need it. De-funding ACORN, that hasn't existed since 2009-10, 12 times. So I guess I'm wrong in that respect. They've done many things...just not things that lead to prosperity for the majority or the growth and real stability of the country. They love it so fuck'in much, they'd rather kill it than see someone else running it. Now that's love! God Bless Amerika!
