Title: But How Will It Be Funded? Post by: Howey on July 15, 2014, 10:53:46 am Everything that comes before the Republicans in the House comes with it the caveat: It must be funded, usually by cutting welfare, school lunches, elderly care or other pesky matters.
But what about when the bill is something they want to please their corporate masters (http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2014/07/11/us/politics/ap-us-congress-tax-breaks.html?ref=aponline)??? No problemo, they don't care if it's funded! Quote The House voted Friday to make permanent a temporary tax break that makes it easier for businesses to invest in new equipment, one of many expired tax breaks that Congress must deal with by the end of the year. The tax break allows businesses to more quickly write off the costs of new equipment, making it popular among business groups. But the White House has threatened a veto because the bill would add $287 billion to the budget deficit over the next decade. Title: Re: But How Will It Be Funded? Post by: uselesslegs on July 15, 2014, 03:58:30 pm You seriously can't make this shit up. For all the whining, complaining, rhetoric driven chest thumping...they just literally thumb their nose at anything that asks them to have the same standards they've been demanding in other policy.
"Where's the difference going to come from?" "Not the same thing." "What if this 287 billion dollar tax break doesn't remotely contribute back what was waived as the reasons to implement it?" "Why the fuck do you hate business you fuck'in Commie!" "*siiiiggggghhhh*." Title: Re: But How Will It Be Funded? Post by: paddymcdougall on July 15, 2014, 10:18:44 pm I suppose we're lucky they didn't dump food stamps altogether to pay for it.

"Why the fuck do you hate business you fuck'in Commie!" "*siiiiggggghhhh*." I actually heard one GOP member say, when asked how they would pay for it, "well, this has been going on for 10 years and we've never asked that before so it shouldn't matter now.. this is what we need to create jobs" I was floored.. 1st by the idea that now we don't have to fund it, not this piece of GOP approved legislation.... then a 2nd time I was floored by the utter stupid of "this will create jobs"... Um, if we've had this tax break for 10 years now... WHERE ARE THE FUCKING JOBS!! I'm almost to a a level of 'burn it all down and start over again'.. I simply can't see how to turn this shit around anymore.. Title: Re: But How Will It Be Funded?
