Dick Perry has a corporate cronyism problem that will hurt his election chances.

Perry was a media darling before anyone knew about him, the more that comes out about the guy the less likely anyone is going to vote for him.

It's always amazed me how Charisma and connections are just as valid for high level positions of deciding legislation and governing (in many instances) over intellect, knowledge, and the capacity to absorb and adapt to an ever changing landscape for the overall common good.

ThromboVision, Inc., a medical imaging company, was also the recipient of an award from the Emerging Technology Fund

Hmm...I do believe he was using his Thrombovision here...

He's from Texas
He's got swagger
He's a God warrior
He can talk like they do
He's got a dick, unlike Bachman...

and we elected GWB twice..

Liberals will sit home for a Perry vs Obama election and they will regret it when Perry wins.. because it doesn't matter what you've done with the Tea-People and ultra-right.. they don't listen to liberal media anyway.. it only matters what you say.. and he to him, he says it all..

About those jobs (http://jaredbernsteinblog.com/texas-and-the-gov%E2%80%99t-better-friends-than-you%E2%80%99d-think/). If this had been Obama he'd be having a hissy fit!

Quote
Over the last few years, government jobs have been awfully consequential in Texas: 47% of all government jobs added in the US between 2007 and 2010 were added in Texas. […]

Texas employment wasn’t down much at all in these years, as the state lost only 53,000 jobs. But looming behind that number are large losses in the private sector (down 178,000) and large gains (up 125,000) in government jobs.

In fact … the nation as a whole added 264,000 government jobs, 2007-10, meaning public-sector jobs added in Texas account for almost half of the nation’s public-sector jobs over these years.

Soo...don't thank Perry for those jobs. Thank yourself!

Who else paid for some of those jobs? Obama! (http://www.texastribune.org/texas-politics/2012-presidential-election/love-hate-thing-stimulus-money/)

Quote
In the second quarter of this year alone, federal stimulus money in the state budget helped create or retain 40,411 Texas jobs, according to the Legislative Budget Board, which keeps a quarterly accounting of the money and how it's spent.
