Title: The Incoherent Uncle Herman Post by: Howey on November 15, 2011, 08:57:39 am Or something to the effect of absolutely, positively, having no clue what's going on!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WW_nDFKAmCo&feature=player_embedded The simple fact that this buffoon is running for President proves the ineptness of the Republican Party to field a viable candidate. Even more, the fact that this man is a businessman proves the simple fact that just because you're a rich guy, you don't have to have smarts. Title: Re: The Incoherent Uncle Herman Post by: uselesslegs on November 15, 2011, 02:21:51 pm Even more, the fact that this man is a businessman proves the simple fact that just because you're a rich guy, you don't have to have smarts. You would think this statement is incorrect, but throughout my life, I have met several people who have done very well for themselves...and I've been floored that some of those individuals were intellect deprived. Finding a nitch, being good at something that catches on, or is wanted, separates needing any kind of formal education from "making it." I do not begrudge them. It's actually nice to know that a 1 in a million ANYONE has a chance. But it proves all the more, what a complete crap shoot wealth is and how education (as a needed component) gets hammered as not really mattering in the grand scheme...when these poster children for luck get displayed as some kind of "norm." "He/she's worth 20 MILLION DOLLARS, man...they must know their shit!" Actually...no they don't. It KILLS me that education, under the above assumption, gets treated as an unnecessary component of a full and "rich" life. I WISH I could remember the name of the Texas oil millionaire, who hires geologists and specialist that understand strata layering, in order to best find where oil deposits are accumulated from dinosaur remains...who is CONVINCED that the earth is 6,000 years old. It just boggles my fucking mind. It just boggles my fucking mind. Thank you for an hour of intriguing research! Said "Texas oil millionaire", I believe, is part of this group (http://www.csama.org/). I recall hearing of him a few years ago... what a complete crap shoot wealth is and how education (as a needed component) gets hammered as not really mattering in the grand scheme...when these poster children for luck get displayed as some kind of "norm." I do take issue with this comment; at least as far as Cain is concerned. Cain's "crap shoot" was nothing to do with luck. It's all about a sick man who used greed as an excuse to usurp the philanthropy of a rich old man to further his own goals. More later...I've been collecting info on this for a future post, "Who Is Herman Cain?" Title: Re: The Incoherent Uncle Herman Post by: ekg on November 15, 2011, 05:30:46 pm how do you treat something you feel as if it's a question on the SAT's. seriously, he was asked how he felt about how Obama did in Libya. That doesn't require long drawn-out painful thought, it's your feeling it's not a true or false question. this is not the 1st time I've seen him (or the others) do this same thing. it's like they've taking a test or something and the all-night cram session has fried their brains. Jesus, it's not a test you prep for with the right 'tea-party' answer.. this is 'how do you feel'.. duh! you should know that off the top of your head and if you don't, you're in the wrong lane..

My google skills and search parameters are seriously flawed. I've been looking and I can't find it. I know I read the article...gaaaahhh...wish I could find it. Title: Re: The Incoherent Uncle Herman Post by: ekg on November 17, 2011, 10:06:56 pm heh... Jon Stewart said "Cain forgot the 1st rule of studying while high... you have to take the test high to remember anything" HA! |
