“President Obama’s promised jobs plan needs to be unrealistic and unreasonable, at the very least. If he can crank it all the way up to unimaginable, that would be even better…. It is hard to overstate how apprehensive most Americans are about the future. Boldness from the president may or may not get the nation’s mojo working again. Timidity surely won’t.”

“Listen, there are some people who have made the statement that — the 21st century is gonna be the — the century of China and that, you know, we’ve had our time in the sunshine. I don’t believe that. I don’t believe that at all. As a matter of fact, you think back to the 1980s and we faced a similar type of — of a situation with — with Russia.

“And Ronald Reagan said that Russia would end up on the ash heap of history. And he was right. Mitt, I happen to think that the communist Chinese government will end up on the ash heap of history if they do not change their virtues. It is important for a country to have virtues, virtues of honest.”

Uncle Herman, during last night's debate.

Weren't we involved in a Cold War with the Soviet Union in the 1980's? Or was it just Russia?

Are we in a Cold War with China now?

“So what would I cut? I think, really, what I would wanna do is be able to go back and take a look at Lyndon Baines Johnson’s The Great Society.

“The Great Society has not worked, and it’s put us into the modern welfare state. If you look at China, they don’t have food stamps. If you look at China, they’re in a very different situ — they save for their own retirement security. They don’t have pay FDIC. They don’t have the modern welfare state. And China’s growing. And so what I would do is look at the programs that LBJ gave us with The Great Society, and they’d be gone.”

Ahh...I get it!

After 20+ years of the same ol' failed policies, foreign and domestic, it's a shame the once Grand Ol' Party has regressed under the weight of silly, dumb people wearing tri-cornered hats and a field of presidential hopefuls that include a clueless, drunken current Governor, a senile old man, a philandering fool, a crazy woman married to a gay man, a flip-flopping amoeba, a crazed homophobe, and the highly respectable John Huntsman, who isn't any of the previous. Quote
PALIN: I don't know how anyone can sit in the audience of a commentator like Bill Maher and chuckle and laugh and think that that's entertaining. I think it's disgusting and it's dirty money that he has now provided Barack Obama's campaign, and I don't know how Barack Obama can sleep at night if he really thinks about Sasha and Malia and the treatment of some women today, how he can accept that dirty money. And granted Barack Obama has never been, I think, seen in the conventional, traditional way of we who would describe a man of valor, so it shouldn't surprise us that Barack Obama would accept that dirty money and try to get re-elected with it. But I think it does not bode well for our president's character to not speak out against that dirty money.

I figured her and the GOP/Fox out last night. I watched the start of "Game Change" and after the Gibson interview her and Steve Schmidt had a talk because she was upset.. he told her (paraphrased) "No story last longer than 48hrs, you can say what you want because it will be forgotten, news isn't the news anymore it's entertainment"..

and that's what she and Fox do.. they say whatever the hell they want because it's 48hr entertainment that doesn't have to be 'vetted' in anyway.. who cares if it's true or not, by the time any one figures out it's bullshit,  they will be onto the next 'entertainment' piece..

just like she took the idea that the VP candidate is supposed to be the 'attacker' and went to the Nth degree by making them the assassin .. she took his pep-talk after bombing the Gibson interview to the Nth degree and made a career out of throwing bullshit since it will be forgotten in a few hours anyway..
