It wouldn't matter if he brought a pony on stage and beat it with a bat at this point.

He's been given full permission by his supporters to do as he pleases. They will not be swayed. The level of atrocious that would have to surface to blow it all up would probably have to be outright illegal or ghastly...and even then, who knows. He's embodying, for them, every frustration, anger and fear both real and imagined in a gigantic Fuck You to everything that is Washington and it's politicians. But another big motivator (my personal opinion) is that of children watching in their mind a glorious pay back for every perceived wrong, no matter what form that takes. They could give two shits that the method or means causes harm, they just know they're feeling satisfied and somehow vindicated.

I still don't think he wants to be President, regardless of his narcissism and ego...and I suspect some of his supporters have that feeling as well, but they're going to ride this puppy as long as it lasts anyway.

Fear makes a lot of things seem rational in the moment.

It's one thing, after the hysteria dies down to sit and listen or read the things you said, and feel awkward, even ashamed, "Oh shit, can't believe I said that." It's another to listen or read the things you said sometime later and still find them agreeable. Then it wasn't fear motivating you. Fear was the excuse you used to disguise your hatred and bigotry.

It's completely different when WE promote fascist ideas, cause they're not really fascists if WE suggest them. I mean it has all the definitions and hallmarks of it...but...it's different...see?

I understand vigilance. It's the constant fear induced shit running down the back of everyone's legs being called vigilance that I don't.

"........by violating all rules of law......"

any journalist, blogger, news station, interviewer etc that allows that lie from the GOP to go unchallenged should be regulated to the likes of TMZ and the enquirer... (which realistically, both are a lot more 'truthfully than most 'honest' journos since they know they'll be sued if they aren't honest and the journos know no one will call them on their bullshit)..

seriously this idea of giving the other side a chance to spew any lie they want in an effort to look 'bi-partisan' is complete crap...I remember the 'gasps' heard around the world when Cindy Crowly corrected Mitt Romney on his "The president never said terrorism" lie... and the outrage from the right that she would be so partisan... when did blatant truth become so partisan?

Where concrete facts and truths are involved, there isn't any "other side", not in any realistic sense. There can be opinions, but if they spawn from a non acceptance or refusal to acknowledge or injection of false narrative/items, and are treated as, "well, it's only fair to hear a differing view/the other side", then you failed as a jurno...you just have, and you shouldn't be taken seriously as one, especially where facts and truths have been established and you allow for it anyway under the pretense of fairness.

I'm not saying he can't have an opinion and I'm not saying he can't be capable in his basic duties...but I will say if the head entity of an organization, given extraordinary authorities that the public doesn't have, to protect them, gives genuine thought to the possibilities that other greater authorities above him planned and orchestrated and carried out mass murder for agenda at an elementary school, where such conspiratorial nonsense has been wholeheartedly disproven, then that is an individual who would not have my confidence or trust where objective and neutral fact seeking is concerned. To me, this isn't a display of *open mindedness*, but rather a display of irrational thought that's entertained as critical thinking.

If I lived in his county, he would not be getting my vote during the next election and unless his opponent was woefully lacking or inept, I would be supporting the campaign against him.

I accidentally dropped by that forum he's on the other day. It appears he's worse than ever...all smarm. And like I said, he's a Trumpeteer.

Sad

It's a shame Lil Mike's a Trumpeteer now. This would be a perfect candidate for him.

Heard anything of him? If so, how's he doing?

...They're baaacccck.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/17/politics/donald-trump-obama-muslim-new-hampshire/

"We have a problem in this country. It's called Muslims," an unidentified man who spoke at a question-and-answer town hall event in Rochester, New Hampshire asked the mogul at a rally Thursday night. "You know our current president is one. You know he's not even an American."

A seemingly bewildered Trump interrupted the man, chuckling, "We need this question. This is the first question."

"Anyway, we have training camps growing where they want to kill us," the man, wearing a "Trump" T-shirt, continued. "That's my question: When can we get rid of them?"

For Christ's sake, even McCain set the old lady straight because he had some sense of integrity. Trump? Eeeeeehhh. He's gonna ride this fireball of disgruntled all the way man, as long as it lasts...regardless of the further repercussions.

And the response by the nutters and defenders, "Not his job to defend Obama. It's Obama's job to dispel that *misunderstanding*, that *perception*, as if it's Obama who created it. WTF? A New York times article some time back actually did a tally and found that Obama attends Church more than Reagan did, but less than GW did...and I defy anyone who is even remotely aware of Reagan to tell me he wasn't identified as a Christian. Obama's problem my ass. The bar, the excuses, the bullshit just keeps getting lower and lower.

The best in a generation? Really? I'm not even being partisan, but best is really an exaggeration, a big exaggeration.
26  Politikal / Political News and Election Coverage / Re: Is Trump A Democratic Plant? on: August 11, 2015, 01:39:40 pm
I seriously doubt he's a plant...but I definitely want him to stay in as long as possible. The longer he does, the better for the opposition.
27  Politikal / Political News and Election Coverage / Re: The GOP Debate on: August 06, 2015, 09:21:03 pm
Got it on behind me. It is already in full rhetoric mode, with Trump leading the way with an old Rosie O'Donnell disgusting crack.

As I said on FB...Please, for the love of the cosmos, do not play a drinking game during the debate tonight. I love you all and don't want to lose 50 people on the same night.

Oh shit...Drink!

The second he bowed (or already believed himself) to the Jade Helm bullshit, I knew he wasn't firing on all pistons.

Gonna have the Texas Guard keep an "Eye on things" during military exercises, Wtf? And if the military was conducting exercises around state invasion...how the fuck would the Texas Guard be able to tell? They think they're gonna have up little signs, in the shape of states at different points? Running up on them yelling?

Sergeant: "Vermont you maggots!!! Go, go go!!! For shits sake, that's New Hampshire! God damnit, I said Vermont!!!"

CO: "That's why we're here, training their sorry asses to know the difference. I expect better sergeant."

Sergeant: "Sorry sir! Get you shit together scumballs! Don't make me look bad in front of the CO! Jesus cocksucking christ Private Henderson, that's Massachusetts!

Texas Guard: "Oh fuck! They're learning their states...FOR INVASION! Call Gov. Abbott!"

Yepp. Never saw so much raw ugliness in my life.

Just for the record, I'm an American, but I live in Germany, so when I do get home, the changes that you all may not notice so much - because they happened so slowly, hit me squarely in the face. It's like a big culture shock, especially since 2011.

Yeah, I have several gamer friends I Skype with overseas. Australia, Germany, Sweden, Brazil, Japan, couple of Canadians...and when talks turn to the US occasionally, especially politics, my butthole tightens a little, haha. Because I know when they ask me, "So, is it really true such and such happened?" "Did they really try to pass, blah-blah." "Do some of your politicians really believe evolution is a lie/earth is 6,000 years old?" I just sigh a little and bemoan..."Yes." The reactions range from disbelief (I mean literally, questioning, doesn't register disbelief) to mocking laughs, to actual gasps...siiiggghh.

I tell them I'm liberal/progressive and have centrist views on some things. I've explained what that means as far as US party ideology is concerned so they can contrast it with their similar counter parts. And I try to be as honest as possible, without putting my own ideological spin on it. Which is harder than I thought, but I do my best.

The overall consensus seems to be...we're stupid, lol.
