Looks like just the license plate for Oklahoma, particularly following the racist fraternity incident and the Oklahoma legislatures persistent racist and discriminatory laws. But for this guy? No way, Jose! THAT'S OFFENSIVE! An Oklahoma man wanted to show his support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community with a vanity license plate, but the state deemed the plate offensive and rejected it.
The Oklahoma Tax commission denied John Keefe's request for a license plate with 'LGBTALY' stamped on it, citing that the license plate was sexual in nature. Keefe, who is straight and married with several kids, wanted to support a group he feels his home state unfairly targets for discrimination.
"I thought that was a load of crap. I thought that was very uneducated, very bigoted, very discriminatory against a population that has long faced an unfair, unethical discrimination," John Keefe told 9News.
Keefe hired a lawyer to argue his case to the state. He believes his freedom of speech is being impinged upon. The Tax commission says they reject license plates if a reasonable person could find them sexual or offensive in nature, but they are open to a hearing with Keefe to discuss the decision.

It is when you can only conflate/identify LGBT with sex...well...perverted, weird, unholy sex. Where as Heterosexuality is a sexual identification, but not imagined with the same lecherous zeal...cause Gawd. Neat huh?...Especially when I consider the people I've know and dated who were heterosexuals, who were into some significantly depraved and unimaginable shit. Shit that makes two men sword fighting pale in comparison. If you could look through your straight neighbors walls at night, you'd see craziness that would melt your brain.

While we might all define the age of consent as a different age, I think we all agree that sex with kids is wrong. So the two aren't equivalent.

Why its drawn where it is and
If those who now find themselves on the other side of the line now...
Support the newer line...
Would you approve... J U H 8 E R

I don't like it. but it's closer to the line of free speech that would allow it. (did that sentence make ANY sense?) I don't know if it breaks the license plate codes or not. I might egg the car that had it.... in the op, it was LGBTALY. I might not have been as upset if they had rejected LGBT8ER. I admit, I like positive affirmations better than negative ones. But if it had been KKKALY .... back to throwing eggs! Ok, I have no consistency. "I know it when I see it" type logic. but maybe according to the state's license plate standards they were right to reject it. Damn. I hate changing my mind.

Well, I guess if individuals would conflate LGBTALY with being no different than KKKALY, in what they represent, and as some kind of state sanction of such by the printing...I guess it's poo-poo on both.
I will add though that it hammers my brain that individuals would see the LGBT community and allies, as equally treacherous.

and my brain finally clicked on the title of this topic. Until now I thought it meant "I hate engineers".... I was a bit confused what engineers had to do with license plates....
