why? so then you could have said "Libya and Egypt is where we should have been supporting the opposition all along"
you may just get your wish.. as soon as we figure out how to arm the rebels... and well, when the rebels can get a little more organized.
Iran is a tough call.. we've been saying for many many years we should intervene.. and we have.. our CIA has even overthrown their leaders.. and yet, they're still a problem. and because of our history of intervention, we can't really be the main force in this one..our involvement waters down a true 'grass-roots' uprising.. it makes it seem like it's been us all along, when it has really been them...
When it turns out the administration has been quietly working behind the scenes, diplomatically and militarily (Go Seal Team 6!), and we see a change in regime in Syria (and hopefully Iran), he'll be the first in line - along with Congress - screaming "He didn't ask permission!"
Then there will be mumblings of impeachment and violations of the Constitution...
