No wonder the turnout for the primaries are so low. YOu have a dude that will tell you anything you want to hear. The other guy is running around barking out Satan, like he has some form of God Warrior tourettes. The last guy is running as an outsider with family values. That guy has cheated on every wife, wants to be a swinger and has been charge with doing illegal shit while a member of Congress.
The only guy that AUH20 would consider as a conservative, the Rhinos hate because he doesn't want to bomb every fucking body.
IF the GOP could ever get back to these ideas, they currently would not have apathy in their own party.
The religious factions will go on imposing their will on others unless the decent people connected to them recognize that religion has no place in public policy. They must learn to make their views known without trying to make their views the only alternatives. . . We have succeeded for 205 years in keeping the affairs of state separate from the uncompromising idealism of religious groups and we mustnt stop now. To retreat from that separation would violate the principles of conservatism and the values upon which the framers built this democratic republic. - Senator Barry Goldwater, September 15, 1981, speech to the U.S. Senate.
