Ok. So I was reading the comments on a link I posted elsewhere and came across this:

Obama is who he is. We all probably have people in our past that we may or may not wish we had but the old saying that you are judged by the company you keep is valid. From a persoanl standpoint I don’t know much about him other than what is written in ‘his’ book and from appearances he seems to be a good dad to his kids. ABC did a good job of finding out who this Bell visitor was. I only wish that they would be as quick to find out how this Fluke woman came roaring onto the scene-what her real connections to the whitehouse are and why out of the blue did George Stephanopoulos ask the question, of all things, about the GOP banning birth control . As far as anyone knows this was a subject never broached by the republicans in their debates until he brought it up and it then becamse a national firestorm and a uncalled for diversion.

I had no idea what this conspiracy theorist was thinking so I did some checking...

Does former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney believe ABC’s George Stephanopoulos coordinated with the White House over Stephanopoulos’ contraception question during Jan. 7’s New Hampshire primary debate?

It sure sounds like that was what Romney was suggesting Wednesday night during CNN”s Republican presidential primary debate in Arizona moderated by John King. (RELATED: More on Mitt Romney)

“John, what’s happened — and you recall back in the debate that we had George Stephanopoulos talking out about birth control, we wondered why in the world did contraception — and it’s like, why is he going there? Well, we found out when Barack Obama continued his attack on religious conscience,” Romney said.

During the Jan. 7 New Hampshire debate, Stephanopoulos asked the presidential contenders if states have the right to ban contraception. Romney attacked the question, noting that no state was even considering it and it was therefore a non-issue.

However, weeks later on Jan. 20, the question of contraception burst onto the national scene as a major issue when the Obama administration announced that religiously-based schools, hospitals and non-profits would be required to provide insurance coverage to their employees for contraception. The White House later attempted to modify the mandate amid outcries from religious groups and conservatives that the mandate was an attack on religious freedom, but the compromise didn’t mollify many of the plan’s critics.

These people have gone fucking insane! Let me see if I have this right...Obama's doing so bad in the polls, the economy's sucking so bad, the Republicans in Congress are enjoying the highest popularity in decades, unemployment's getting worse every month, the Stock Market's doing worse than during the Depression - that Obama concocts this master plan to change the national conversation away from all that just to talk about contraception!

Aha! I get it! What a sneaky bastard!

Obama sneaks Stephanopoulos into the White House, they meet up with the Susan G. Komen Foundation to get them to hire a right wing operative who makes a fool of herself trying to bring down Planned Parenthood (thus destroying the credibility of the Komen Foundation), then   gets a bunch of male Republicans in Congress to hold hearings on the evils of contraception, coerce an unknown Georgetown College student to attempt to testify before the Committee trying to help her friend dying of Ovarian Cancer, then invite Rush Limbaugh to the White House, get him high on pain pills and prostitutes, and set his fat ass down in front of a microphone so he could tell the world for three days straight that this student is a whore and a prostitute and God only knows what else; and then...

VOILA!

OBAMA GETS RE-ELECTED!

lol...this was just tweeted to me.

In an interview last October with the evangelical blog Caffeinated Thoughts, Santorum said, “One of the things that I will talk about that no president has talked about before is, I think, the dangers of contraception in this country.” Contraception, he went on, is “not okay.

“Maybe people don’t want us to talk about those things,” he added. And he has said later that he doesn’t seek a ban on contraceptives — a good thing, since that was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in Griswold v. Connecticut 47 years ago.

But by bringing the subject up, he guaranteed that he would be peppered with questions about the issue by the likes of ABC’s George Stephanopoulos and CBS’s Bob Schieffer.

Hah! Obama and Stephanopoulos even got Santorum in on it!

Facts are the center. We don’t pretend that certain facts are in dispute to give the appearance of fairness to people who don’t believe them.  Balance is irrelevant to me.  It doesn’t have anything to do with truth, logic or reality. ~Charlie Skinner (the Newsroom)
