4 years ago they were fringe... but are they  still extremists today? or is sanity, compassion and love thy neighbor the new-Right- extremism?

I mean, this came from an alleged  man of God... and in the video, he didn't get boo'd, he was cheered by a Christian house full of worshipers..

I'm beginning to think these assholes are not the outliers.. they are  the norm, while the 'true christian' you speak of, has become the unicorn... a mythical creature..

The most zealot like nutbags, always have the loudest megaphone.  In our more modern case, they have the internet...and to add to that...*we* have the means to now instantly capture *the crazy* no matter where it resides...and share it with the world, with pocket phones and mini cams.

I cannot say with authority that the latest appearance of these vile rants are more like shedding light on ant hills that have always, unfortunately, existed in this country and abroad...or if this is something that is becoming some sort of underground norm.  In either case, it's all of our duties to make sure this type of archaic, extremist, dark ages throw back is met head on each time it's exposed.

I know free speech protects many forms of unpopular/objectionable speech.

The pastor, for his part however, probably won't get in any trouble because while he was specific with his fucked up musings...he was speaking hypothetically/imaginings that carries no real world threat.  You'd have to be able to prove that his drivel carried the weight of reality, no matter how fuck'in bonkers the guy is or the idea he expressed out loud.

He did do one thing though, he plainly and clearly used the pulpit for political purposes.  That church should lose it's tax exempt status.  You want to see these assholes put in their place?  Take away their free money.
