we all know they're 'swiftboating' Obama by whining that not only did he take respondsibility for the OBL killing, the horror.. but that he should be tried to treason for talking about it.. because he's killing SEALS everytime he mentions how he single-handedly flew into Pakistan and climb the compound wall and shot OBL himself..
and what does Fox news do to 'top' that.. because anything he can do, well they can do better..
Questions raised after SEAL's identity revealed The author of the yet-to-be-published book "No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama Bin Laden" wrote it under the pseudonym Mark Owen.
The book's publisher said
the special operations forces team member did not want to reveal his name to protect himself and his family. But only a day after the New York Times first reported the book was coming out,
Fox News reported the author's real name on its website and posted photos of him in combat gear.Later Thursday, the Associated Press also revealed Owen's real name.
When CNN asked Pentagon officials if they could confirm the author's identity, it was asked not to report his name out of concern for his former colleagues who could still be active. On Thursday, the New York Times said the book's publisher, Dutton, put out a statement after Owen's name was revealed.
"Mark Owen, like every SEAL he has served with, has put his life on the line time and again for his country for more than a decade. Sharing the true story of his personal experience in "No Easy Day" is a courageous act in the face of obvious risks to his personal security. That personal security is the sole reason the book is being published under a pseudonym. We respectfully request that all news organizations and all Americans consider these facts when deciding whether to pursue or publicize his real identity," the statement said. The Pentagon will not say how many news organizations asked the Pentagon about the author's real name and were asked not to reveal it for security reasons.
A senior Pentagon official said Fox News did not contact the Department of Defense ahead of revealing the author's name. Fox did not respond to a request for comment. The AP said it was not asked by the Pentagon to withhold the name.
http://www.cnn.com/2012/08/23/us/seal-identity-revealed/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 now, I've seen on a few stories "Fox did not seek comment".. which just proves they don't source the information they get, they just get it and run with it and damn the consequences.. this tho, those consequences are extreme..
The next time Hannity starts railing that Obama's a disgusting disgrace to the office of Potus for taking
all the credit for OBL without giving a single shout-out to the SEALS.. and that he's the worst president we've ever had when it comes to 'leaks' because he can't keep his mouth shut on any aspect of nat'l security so that he's the most dangerous potus we've ever had because he can't stop talking (yes, this sounds hyperbolic of me, but these are really the things Hannity and his guests have said) and his mouth is killing SEAL's and service men all over the world... I swear to God, I'll blow Juan Williams to look at him and say
"STFU Sean, FOX news just took one and who knows how many other Navy SEALs out of their anonymity and put their lives and the lives of their families in danger all so they could report who wrote an up-coming book because you're so Goddamn afraid it would remind people of what Obama was able to accomplish while GWB fucked this country up for his own pleasure"
