He believes in get yourself up by your boot straps, tough love. I mean of course he has absolutely no idea what that's like since there's never been a time in his life, even when him and Ann lived in that cold old basement and ate off of an ironing board *GAH!*, that he's ever truly or *sorta kinda* known desperation, hunger, helplessness, homelessness.
I mean really...who wants to spend time trying to empathize with lazy fuckers whose biggest investment was their home...what rubes!
