I saw this yesterday and every post that "questioned" the photo either because of stance/form "issues", "gear" and the "gas emission" from the barrel (suggesting photo shop) all share a common theme...President Obama is a liar.
Like John Stewart said, during his Dr. Seuss bit you mentioned, "They will NEVER like you." There will never, ever be a moment where the fringe right wing will express an ounce of respect or positivity for President Obama...Ever. He needs to stop trying to be their pals, because it ain't ever gonna happen. I appreciate that he takes his "President of all" seriously...but these people won't even accept him as President, let alone show him a micron of dignity.
At first, I thought perhaps he told his photo guys to release his skeet pics, to dick slap Fox...since he came out of the gates swinging at them in his 2nd term...but there's no real dick slap follow up. No, "Fuck you. What was that about needing a picture there dick face?" No little "eat my ass" shots. I think he's doing what he's been doing since he took office...he's kowtowing to these knuckle draggers because he's STILL the appease guy. It's who he is. He's the mediator.
He wants everyone to come together in some form or fashion. But like Stewart said (again), "They will NEVER like you." Besides...he's trying to get the lowest denominator to approve of him and from what I remember about life...you don't go out of your way to get approval from horse cunts. He won his second term. He's not going anywhere. This isn't a business in the typical sense. He doesn't need to keep kissing the ass of conspiracy nutters and thinly disguised bigots to stay open. He's the friggin President...be the President...and quit seeking friendship or consent from assholes who hate you. You will never win them over.
I hope that Stewart's jest makes it into 'bubble' Obama lives himself lives in.. I don't mean the GOP bubble, just the bubble that any and all POTUS's live in where everything surrounding them is filtered differently since they are leaders of a pretty big and busy country.. they get out of sync with 'real life' as would be expected.. That 'book' while being in jest..really needs to seep into his bubble and into his head.

I know what he's doing.. he's playing the long game. he knows he's historical no matter what he does, all POTUS are but he's magnified by 1000 since he's the 1st of his kind.. The 'white-male-only' mold may have been broken with his election but it's no means irrecoverably destroyed..
he will be judged when any other 'non' white-male runs again for this office..no matter if it's HRC in 2016... or someone else in 2045.. 'white' history will look back on him and judge the new runner..
and then he will be judged as a president by itself.. will he be judged the great sage? the great divider? the one who brought the country together? he wants the 1st and last.. I think he knows he'll never have them currently, but 20 years from now? 200? He wants to be remembered like Lincoln and not forgotten like Taft.
I get that.. but he can do so much more than lower the bar to appease the idiots that will never ever ever ever like him and it's maddening to watch him repeatedly try..
You're right tho, he's stormed out after his election win and has been kicking them in the balls.. maybe it's setting in slowly that hey, this is it. there is no other office and no other time for you to do what you want to do. I really, really hope and pray 2014 congressional go our way because I want to see what he can accomplish with the majority again. He did well with it coming into office, but after being there for awhile and learning the ropes..and the getting the triple majority again? he could be great..It could hurt HRC, there could be 'democrat-fatigue' in 2016 if O
isn't great.... but if he's the person we all think he is, it might be worth it..
