I'm not a big fan of GMO's or cloning but if ever there were something that it made sense to try and duplicate in a lab, this would be the one. It's possible that the pollination ability would be much different or not even work but I wonder why no one has thought of at least trying it. Other than maybe since they can't be patented or something, all the humongs will die because someone couldn't make a profit.
well, I don't know how cloning or gene mod would work since they don't know why they are dying off to begin with.. so any 'new' bees would probably die off just like the 'old' ones..
