All along my position on Syria hasn't changed. The people want a sectarian government, they want to get rid of Assad and they want modernization.

They don't want a dictator gassing and killing their children.

What's really bad is that our country, America, doesn't even care about these kids to end this horror as we are heading towards isolationism.

It sucks. But that too, should be no surprise. We don't even care about our own fucking children, why should we care about the Syrian children?

Quote
“I agree with the superintendent. I think it’s a little harsh. You know, I don’t think they’re going to throw the food out right in front of the kid and embarrass the kid… I think it is misleading that the kids are going to be punished. We have more food than any other nation. You know, no kid is going to starve. You know, if one day a kid doesn’t have lunch, right, maybe that’s a teaching moment when that kid doesn’t have lunch. That may sound harsh saying that, but we’ve got to get people to start being responsible for themselves. I can tell you from almost 20 years working in a school district, they’re not going to make the kids starve. That’s just kind of like a big warning to the parents. And I have kids come to me, I give kids money all the time. And I’m broke from doing that over the years. No, I’m kidding.”

I'm shocked, truly shocked, at the turn this country has taken the past year. The nutcases have won. Congratulations.

what about all the black kids in africa we've let die? I mean, that we're still letting die?

what about the kids here at home?

let's not make this or anything 'about the children'... children are going to die horribly and starve every single day no matter what we do.. we can't rush into anything because of some horrific photos..

rushing into this war could make the kids in that photo American kids very easily... yes, I'm horrible I care more about our own 1st over another countries population.. shoot me..

and it's not 'isolationism' to be wary of entering into any war..

Facts are the center. We don’t pretend that certain facts are in dispute to give the appearance of fairness to people who don’t believe them.  Balance is irrelevant to me.  It doesn’t have anything to do with truth, logic or reality. ~Charlie Skinner (the Newsroom)
