Tenth year Anniversary Nineth year Anniversary Eighth year Anniversary
« on: September 08, 2013, 05:04:07 pm »

One of the interesting trends I've been seeing lately is Obama opponents, and God only knows there's a lot of them today, using an unusual and new source for online political discussions.

Something called "RT". It's a television network with an online presence. Think "FOX News".

*Sigh*, I guess they think that means "right"? No...The "RT" today used to be known as "Russia Today" to the rest of the world, a so-called autonomous entity that's funded by the Federal Agency on Press and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation.

According to Wikipedia, RT is proud to disclose the following:

Quote
RT has had some notable guests including heads of state Vladimir Putin, Nouri Al-Maliki, Rafael Correa and Bashar al-Assad.

Yeah...oh. They also present a decidedly anti-Semitic viewpoint which I've had to point out elsewhere several times, but that's not a problem as long as we're hating on the American президент, is it?

So, anyhow, I don't like them, but there's a lot I don't like nowadays as our country heads deeper and deeper into the Bizarro Amerika I predicted several years ago.

Their latest stunt, and the reason for this post, is a recent story published today being touted by all the right and left Obama haters in opposition to the proposed attack on Syria. It's about the videos the White House declassified yesterday and released, showing horrible images of dead children and adults, gassed by *cough* one of RT's "most notable guests".

Since everyone on this forum but me is opposed to Syrian intervention, here's the videos. They shouldn't bother y'all:

So what exactly does Russia Today, oops RT have to say about the videos?

They're FAKE

Quote
There is proof the footage of the alleged chemical attack in Syria was fabricated, Mother Agnes Mariam el-Salib, mother superior of St. James Monastery in Qara, Syria, told RT. She says she is about to submit her findings to the UN.

Mother Agnes, a catholic nun, who has been living in Syria for 20 years and has been reporting actively on what has been going on in the war-ravaged country, says she carefully studied the video featuring allegedly victims of the chemical weapons attack in the Syrian village of Guta in August and now questions its authenticity.

In her interview with RT, Mother Agnes doubts so much footage could have been taken in so little time, and asks where parents of the supposedly dead children are. She promises to send her report to the UN.

The nun is indignant with the world media for apparently turning a blind eye to the Latakia massacre by rebel extremists, which left 500 civilians including women and children dead.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has called on the international community to pay attention to revelations made by Mother Agnes Mariam el-Salib

Um.......

This is a picture of  Mother Agnes Mariam el-Salib

Gosh...look at those hands! "She" sure does look a lot like this guy who happens to be Putin's new Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Olegovich Rogozin, doesn't "she"??
