So Obama threatens to strike Syria... and after telling Putin that, Putin sits back and says "uh oh.. maybe this isn't a good idea"....So he calls Assad to let him know what's about to go down and they counter-offer Obama's strike with "So hey, what if we get them to not only admit they have chem weapons, but hell.. they'll give them up"...
and that's somehow an Obama-loss? That somehow makes him 'weak'?
I mean, it seems to me Obama got everything he wanted and then some and without a single "shock" and/or "awe" bomb..he threatens hell-fire and Putin gets Assad to give up his WMD stash... but on Bullshit Mountain, that's somehow a weakness?

Look...President Obama is not above critique and complaint, no President is. There are quite a few ditties (and more) that we could (and have) disagreed with him about, and on...concerning policy, approach and politics in general. The problem arises when critique and political complaint can no longer be discerned from bashing for bashing's sake. The two become inextricably intertwined and one loses the ability to distinguish between treating your stepchild like shit, based on the shit lens you view them with, and legitimate items of discontent that merit your attention.
If EVERYTHING catches your attention negatively, then odds are you view the way they eat cereal and got a D in biology as exactly EQUAL in negative status in your mind. We call this the "no win scenario." Being able to find an issue with the way they fold their socks and catching them playing with matches hold the same level of concern/disdain for you...because you've gone bat-shit overboard...and everything is code red with that little fucker. And now you have exacting standards or opinions that can never, ever be appeased...and even on their best day...you'll find something wrong.
