2-I lovelovelove this kind of 'mod' response.. I've seen it on 'court' forums where the mods favor one side over the other so they just happen to always miss the 'rule violations' from 'their' pets but never ever miss them from the 'other' side.. it's the "how can you be hurt if you're still walking around" defense... "Oh he beat you? uh huh. So why are you standing here and not in unconscious?"... or "if you were raped, how are you able to sit in a room with two male detectives and talk to them so easily?"...HA I love it...

of course no where in his reply does he say anything about the person who posted all that... well other than "he was warned".. noooooo, instead, he's given that person more freedom to continue his behavior because what that person saw in that thread was the Mod standing up for him, not condemning what he did and said, but instead mocking and threatening the person who spoke up..
from my experience when this sort of thing happens.. and I don't care how old or new a forum is.. when this happens one of two things are the result.
A). the 'regular' posters just fade out because the bullies have just been given public permission to carry on. It wasn't them who was chided publicly for their behavior it was the one complaining.. the 'complainers' learn quickly that they're in the minority, the mods don't care and things are going to get worse..and eventually the forum turns into a shitpile of 'ILA'
B). the Mods get so sick of the 'regular' people complaining.. that they just shut the place down. It's easier to do that than control the assholes they've created. Now some of the mods might think the assholes really are assholes, but they've let them do what they want for so long that they can't control them anymore.. and eventually the forum turns into a shitpile of "ILA"..
sorry your forum is dying like that. It's really a shame to see that happen to an established place.. but really, ILA and his 'kindred' have been given permission to do wtf they want and when you complain, you'll be mocked and threatened while they sit back and lol..all the while the mods are oblivious because they simply can't see why what their 'pets' are doing is so wrong..
