A). the 'regular' posters just fade out because the bullies have just been given public permission to carry on. It wasn't them who was chided publicly for their behavior it was the one complaining.. the 'complainers' learn quickly that they're in the minority, the mods don't care and things are going to get worse..and eventually the forum turns into a shitpile of 'ILA'
B). the Mods get so sick of the 'regular' people complaining.. that they just shut the place down. It's easier to do that than control the assholes they've created. Now some of the mods might think the assholes really are assholes, but they've let them do what they want for so long that they can't control them anymore.. and eventually the forum turns into a shitpile of "ILA"..
sorry your forum is dying like that. It's really a shame to see that happen to an established place.. but really, ILA and his 'kindred' have been given permission to do wtf they want and when you complain, you'll be mocked and threatened while they sit back and lol..all the while the mods are oblivious because they simply can't see why what their 'pets' are doing is so wrong..
Jeez, you are absolutely right. That's exactly what happened after ILA's foul language was just "warned". Then the mods got all defensive about those of us who were offended.
And now the a*holes rule and are patting themselves on the back about how "good" they've become. But I bet if a liberal woman went on there, they'd be back to the same kind of nastiness.
Oh - and did we mention the mods have a lot of people on ignore so they can't see the offending posts? How can a mod do their job if they have a bunch of people on ignore?
Howey, guess I don't care if you move it. Let me just state that I currently log in to JPP mainly for PMs; and I check out one or two threads on the state of the board. So in case Grind claims I can't stay away - he can rest assured I'm not going into any topic threads unless I hit on one by accident. I'm just curious about the good posters who have stayed and what they're thinking.
