The House spent a significant amount of time last week on legislation to fight pill mills, which also is not a job creator, she said.

Big surprise but that is sooo what my doc is. He only works from 8a to 12p with Friday's off. I know one friend who took him a list of what she wanted and he gave it all to her. I had to remind him that I need blood work once a year to watch my thyroid level. I don't have ins and at first the visits were only 54. Now they're 94.00.

I used to have over the roof hdl/cholesterol levels and then I started taking a statin that finally brought it down to perfect but I also cut out red meat and fried foods. My dad had a heart attack when he was younger than I am now and had the open heart surgery when it was new back in '74. They thought they were only buying him about 10 years but he made it till 1997.

I was going on the belief that heart disease is hereditary at least in part but with my better eating habits I could probably eliminate the cholesterol thing. His mother lived till 2001 and she was 101. She on the other hand, drank whole milk, ate red meat all her life and never gave any thought to any dietary concern and never had an operation of any kind. Men in perfect shape frequently die from running because it's too hard on the heart. So it seems like no matter how you slice it, it's still a bit of a crap shoot.
