*FYI: My SSAN is from the state of Maryland. Why? I've never lived there. Answer: When I was a teenager living in Germany, my father applied for SSAN's for us kids. Since we were government, the SSAN issued came out of Maryland, as it was for hundreds of thousands of children living overseas.
Since Obama lived abroad as a child, wouldn't this seem entirely plausible?
