Most people would agree with the hot fries argument which is representative of what was once tantamount to a pandemic of vending machines, ala cart choices such as pizza and a financial windfall for the schools that utilized that system. It seems the larger issue is that it's one more thing that the state is dictating. Many people are concerned that individuals are being conditioned to trust the authorities blindly or let themselves be controlled by what are not in many cases any threat at all but an agenda of fear and surrender.
That's part of the context here and not conspiracy theory and I might add, I'm undecided at this point but here are a few examples of why there are major concerns:
