I'd like to get another gun and will but I don't get the big deal being made about them all the time. I've never heard one story about someone who was legally carrying a concealed weapon doing anything wrong. I think what redneck NRA types are worried about is the government taking away guns and therefor they wouldn't be able to protect themselves if the gubment comes to their land and wants to kill or carry them away somewhere.

The way I see it, if it got to that point, what difference would having a few guns make against a national state of martial law. If you managed to kill a few of them it would just be a matter of time before they fire bombed your whole house or something.

The statistics don't lie about the amount of deaths in this country from hand guns but I think it's a cat that's been well out of the bag for so long that it can't be turned around. Theoretically if they took everyones gun today, you could have another in your hands in the next few days. There's always a supply for a known market. Like how there's cocaine all around the country but there's never been one story of a lab being found, unlike meth. There's quite a process involved to make the powder coke.
