The FBI confirmed an investigation a week or so ago. Murdoch actually sat in front of Parliament and did not accept responsibility. The actions had many negative effects aside from the dead teen and the parent's false hope. The British police already had a ton of evidence against the empire from an earlier case but because of Murdoch's power they rolled over and just did the minimum, according to a writer for The Guardian who was on Democracy Now yesterday.
