I wasn't going to bring up the right's complaints about the president going on vacation, mainly because it's been done by both sides as long as Holiday Inn's have been around. Even though Dubya spent more time on vacation than any other president in history...

But THIS is fucking ridiculous!

Quote
When disaster strikes, the online commentariate...shows the worst of itself. Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft has already made the 5.9 magnitude earthquake  that rattled the East Coast a dumb partisan issue, writing:

A 5.8 quake hit Washington DC this afternoon.
The Obama family was biking.

Judging by the comments below Hoft’s post and the buzz he’s getting on some big aggregators, apparently there’s an audience for this. Hoft, too, seems to have an acute preoccupation with the fairly limited amounts of leisure time Obama takes, particularly when bad things happen that the president didn’t cause and can’t control. He attacked Obama last year for playing golf while oil was spewing into the Gulf of Mexico following the Deepwater Horizon explosion. Which it did for months.

For the bazillionth time, Obama is not GOD! It's not his fault that an earthquake knocked over a couple of lawn chairs...hell, it's not like the nation was facing a terrorist attack!

Oh. Wait...

I forget where I saw it, but someone did the math and at this time in George Bushes Presidency, he'd already accumulated 225 days of vaca.  Obama, to date, has 70 plus days.

Wonder why Fox isn't pointing that out? Hmmmmmm.

"President George W. Bush spent even more time away from the presidential mansion in the nation’s capital than Reagan. Of the 77 total "vacation" trips the former president made to his Texas ranch while in office, nine of them — all or part of 69 days — came during his first year as president in 2001, according to Knoller."

"President Obama has spent all or part of 26 days "on vacation" during his first year as president, according to CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller."

"He will likely miss the place: According to CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller, today's trip marks Mr. Bush's 149th visit to the presidential retreat. The planned three-day stay, during which the president is being joined by family and former and current aides, will bring his total time spent at Camp David to all or part of 487 days.

Yes, that's 487 days. And Camp David is not even where the president has spent the most time when not at the White House: Knoller reports that Mr. Bush has made 77 visits to his ranch in Crawford during his presidency, and spent all or part of 490 days there."
