Don't forget cannibalism.   The Rightwing Noise Machine hasn't accused Obama of that yet.  Or has it?

I have noticed the racist "black on white crime" meme all over the internet.  It's interesting that it's become so prevalent and almost acceptable, since it's the worst kind of race baiting.

It tells you the status of Tea Party Occupied America that it's considered good politics to print rancid stories about how black criminals are running amok.  Maybe Lee Atwater's ghost has possessed the rightwing blogosphere.

I posted this on PF. It was shut down by the same mod who banned me. Said it didn't meet forum rules.

PF is a bit dysfunctional.  Hell, Hannity.com has better mods at this point.

Meanwhile, poor Pawlenty, like Huntsman, don't really belong to the GOP anymore.  It's moved on to weirdsville while they are relatively sane.

It's clear Romney's brain is directly plugged into the rightwing noise machine.

Here are the real facts about who pays taxes and who is "entitled".  Needless to say, Romney got it backwards, sideways, forward and down.

I did laugh when a woman on the UL site said if Bush had killed Osama he never would have bragged about it and wouldn't thump his chest about it. The hell he wouldn't, he wanted that kill. At least Obama gave credit where credit was due.

In that alternate reality, I can just see Bush's "Mission Accomplished Tour" which would have involved parades with Bin Laden mummified remains being dragged by pigs through the street.

THIS is how a presidential candidate should make a statement. Without politicizing it.

Barack Obama

Romney bumbled again and looks small.  Right now isn't the time for bravado about revenge, especially since the perpetrators seem to be some relatively small violent group, not representative of the government or the nation at large.

I'm a little taken aback by that comment, even with your disqualifier.

Who's to say Islam is "religious weirdness"? Certainly not me or you. According to my religion, there's a lot more weird about Christianity, particularly the kind being spewed nowadays, than the religion enjoyed peacefully by billions, not millions, of people worldwide.

Tell that to Koran burner Terry Jones, who's embraced said silly hate-spewed movie above.

Killing people because they make fun of your prophet is in fact weird.  Period. Not only that, it's reprehensible.

Religious people of every stripe need to get over their fanaticism and respect the fact that other people might find their views weird.  Indeed, I do find Islam weird, as well as Christianity (even though I'm a Christian).  Religion isn't rational and isn't intended to be.

Weirdness is OK, so long as you don't kill somebody because they make cartoons or movies you don't like.  I believe in the gospel (in some transcendental sense).  That doesn't give me the right to attack somebody because they make fun of Jesus.  Indeed, if you have the courage of one's convictions, you shouldn't even get upset.  Why would Jesus or Mohammad care one way or another if somebody make fun of them, assuming they are who people say they are?

In any case, I have nothing against Islam per se; it's a highly ethical and sophisticated religion in general.  But it needs to make its peace with modernity, just as mainstream Christianity and Judaism did, and it will eventually.  Right now, the fundamentalism in the muslim world is the result of identity issues and insecurities that still afflict the Religious Right in this country, and has no place in the modern world. Meanwhile, to the extent that it is politicized to deny rights or cause harm (as the Christian Right does in this country), it should be criticized roundly.

Romney broke the 11th commandment about not criticizing a president during a foreign policy crisis.  He's so stupid, he didn't even seem to realize that your actually supposed to let the president handle the matter before politicizing it.

That said, I was kind of taken aback about the comment about respecting religions.  I understand the foreign policy need to say such tripe, but in fact no, the US government doesn't need to respect religious weirdness, not even my own.

Modern conservatism is now equivalent to knownothingism.  They revel in their ignorance.  It's like Bush bragging he didn't read newspapers or Palin bragging she read all of them.
10  Politikal / Welcome to Bizarro Amerika! / Re: What Caused the Holocaust? on: September 11, 2012, 04:50:52 pm
Both Bachmann and Grover "Bathtub" Norquist have likened raising taxes on the rich to the Holocaust.  Quantum weirdness and a penchant for comparing minor monetary impositions on billionaires to genocide defines conservatives.

The harpy-in-chief of the tea party, on the ropes.  I will personally miss the Oral Robert's graduate.

This is only mildly psychopathic by Limbaugh standards.  Check out the documentary, "Megadittoes: the Tea Party Cult".   It's one example of quantum weirdness after another.

Poor Romney's trying so hard to talk about anything but the fact that he avoided service, unlike this gentleman.

Well, at least Romney "served his church", by hanging out at cafes on the Champs-Élysées.  What an inauthentic boob Romney is.
