The good ol' Republican line. Those women in the military deserve to be raped! During a segment about new rules regarding women in the military, Fox News contributor Liz Trotta attacked the Department of Defense for increasing spending on support programs for victims of sexual assault. Trotta also reacted to a Pentagon report showing a 64% increase in violent sexual assaults since 2006 by stating: "Well, what did they expect? These people are in close contact."
Trotta began by claiming "we have women once more, the feminist, going, wanting to be warriors and victims at the same time" and later added that feminists "have also directed them, really, to spend a lot of money. They have sexual counselors all over the place, victims' advocates, sexual response coordinators. ... you have this whole bureaucracy upon bureaucracy being built up with all kinds of levels of people to support women in the military who are now being raped too much."
When Fox News anchor Eric Shawn said that "many would say that they need to be protected," Trotta replied: "That's funny, I thought the mission of the" armed forces "was to defend and protect us, not the people who were fighting the war." Why do Republicans hate women so much?

I watched the entire vid with Trotta and what she was effectively saying was the old standard of, "Hey, look at the way she was dressed. She was asking for it."
Ye old pardon of inexcusable behavior.
"Put men and women together and what did you expect to happen???"
I expect them to act like Human Beings, a tad more than relenting to animalistic urges, and excusing unconscionable behavior with backwoods mentality does little more than reduce the entire conversation to, "she's got tits and a cunt, his cock got hard, the outcome was pretty much inevitable in close quarters."
Really?
She just excused a heinous act and the people who engaged in it. She's fucked in the head.

Yes, my jaw hit the floor. If my memory serves me correctly...didn't Rumsfeld dump (or at least play a major role in) certain standards for military eligibility being nixed, that included individuals who had a past of being sexually violent/suspect, allowing them access?...all to avoid a situation involving the draft? I swear I remember a ruckus about it. Also, didn't lizzy *joke*, 4 years ago about Obama's death?

Yes and yes to both questions. I remember starting a thread on the muche about the lax recruitment standards Bush and Rummy pushed to get more bodies over to Iraq so they could be killed too. They were allowing gang members, murderers and drug addicts in the Army, but **shudder** none of them homos!

now c'mon... these women aren't virgins... I'm sure they've consented to sex before somewhere in their lives.. so now, by the reasoning's of Virginia law makers.. since they've consented to being penetrated before, women have given their consent to be penetrated whenever a male around her wishes to penetrate her.. I mean,duh..
