YOu just went full God Warrior. Never go full God Warrior.

http://news.yahoo.com/gingrich-warns-role-secular-left-170959746.html

The forces of the secular left believe passionately and deeply, and with frankly a religious fervor, in their world view and they will regard what I am saying as a horrifying assault on what they think is the truth," Gingrich said. "Because their version of the truth is to have a totally neutral government that has no meaning."

Ok, I am fucking confused. Do you want less goverment but more God government? No wonder a nut ball like Santorum is leading.
I am wondering, am I the only one that hears 80's porn music in the background everytime Newt talks religion.

This part kills me.
Gingrich said George Washington would not have apologized for an incident that led to the killing of young Americans. "We are supposed to apologize to those who are killing us? I don't think so," Gingrich said to applause.
Listen Newt, you don't know what Washington would do and quit shitting on his Constitution that he defended.
I do know one thing Washington would not have done, asked Martha if she wanted to be swingers.

This is what the rights hero had to say about religion.

"We in the United States, above all, must remember that lesson, for we were founded as a nation of openness to people of all beliefs. And so we must remain. Our very unity has been strengthened by our pluralism. We establish no religion in this country, we command no worship, we mandate no belief, nor will we ever. Church and state are, and must remain, separate. All are free to believe or not believe, all are free to practice a faith or not, and those who believe are free, and should be free, to speak of and act on their belief."

Ronald Reagan

WTF has happened to the GOP. It is just sad.

They've gone all Grilled Cheezus. It's all they have left. The old tried and true Republican ways (those of Reagan) haven't worked. The contract days of Newt's previous regime failed when he cheated, lied and broke the law. The neocon warmonger days of Bush are buried with bin Laden.

Their only choice is to pander to the crazy Jesus crowd, hoping something, anything, will stick.

Facts are the center. We don’t pretend that certain facts are in dispute to give the appearance of fairness to people who don’t believe them.  Balance is irrelevant to me.  It doesn’t have anything to do with truth, logic or reality. ~Charlie Skinner (the Newsroom)
