Gotta give Breitbart credit. I didn't know he could stir shit from the grave! Earlier today, Buzzfeed’s Ben Smith announced on Twitter that video researcher Andrew Kaczynski had released “the mysterious Harvard/Obama/race video that the Breitbart folks have been talking about.”
The video, which Kaczynski says was “licensed from a Boston television station,” shows a young Barack Obama leading a protest at Harvard Law School on behalf of Prof. Derrick Bell, a radical academic tied to Jeremiah Wright--about whom we will be releasing significant information in the coming hours.
However, the video has been selectively edited--either by the Boston television station or by Buzzfeed itself. Over the course of the day, Breitbart.com will be releasing additional footage that has been hidden by Obama's allies in the mainstream media and academia.
Breitbart.com Editor-in-Chief Joel Pollak and Editor-at-Large Ben Shapiro will appear on The Sean Hannity Show to discuss the tape. The full tape will be released tonight on Fox News' Hannity. Umm...yeah. We don't care! The video (quite inspiring): |

so I watched hannity last night because I knew he could twist it just right to show me the scandal.. but I guess I don't speak 'gop'..I couldn't get anything out of what he was trying to twist. What is the scandal here? That he hugged a professor when he was in college? I heard Hannity and Brietbarts guys trying to make it into a 'race war' issue, saying that the people there with the signs reading 'diversify' didn't really want diversity, they really wanted some kind of race-war I guess... ya know because when you protest, you put the opposite of what your protesting on your signs, or something.
but I see where this is going.. Hannity is starting the race-war.. helter skelter.. what a great guy... the blacks are coming to get you!!
or maybe the scandal is it that some guy didn't release that video until just now, instead of releasing it in 2008?
uh, ok... so there is no video or photos of any GOP member that family or friends keep to themselves?
must be nice to live in that glass house..

You don't get it. He's talking to BLACK PEOPLE! We all know what that means. He's a Black Panther socialist! Oh. wait. He's talking to WHITE PEOPLE TOO! We all know what that means. he's a commie pinko! Oh. Wait. He's a black man with a white mother talking to black people and white people about something. Diversity! Nothin' here, folks. Move along! Seriously, the only things that video proved are that Obama was as charismatic and eloquent back then as he is now. And that the racists over at Breitbart and Hannity are idiots. But we already knew that. |

Why Are Cable News Networks Giving Free Airtime To Pro-Obama Propaganda Film?
Yesterday, cable networks devoted whole segments to a film that presents President Barack Obama in a glowing, almost saintly light, even though it has little to no news value. The film focuses on the past, rather than on current events, and doesn’t present any new information (that’s why we call it “news,” knuckleheads), so even for a liberal like me, it’s hard to understand how these cable networks are doing anything other than trying to ensure the President’s reelection.
In addition to its utter lack of news value, the film is one of the most broadly-appealing presentations of Obama that I’ve ever seen. It features President Obama resolutely standing up for what he believes in, which will especially appeal to independents, but it also shows him sticking it to the ivory-towered elites of liberal academia, which will be veritable catnip for conservatives. I’m referring, of course, to the much-hyped film of then-President of the Harvard Law Review Barack Obama introducing Professor Derrick Bell, the first tenured black professor at Harvard Law School, at a 1990 protest of Harvard’s hiring practices.
This piece of fluff has it all: a young, idealistic Barack Obama showing off the oratory that would become his trademark, standing up to the eggheads at Harvard Law School for their failure to hire a tenured black female professor (which they didn’t do until 1998), palling around with the guy who is essentially the Jackie Robinson of Harvard Law. As if that wasn’t enough, a later version of the film even shows President Obama hugging the guy. We get it! All Hail Saint Obama!
This tape was foreshadowed, by the late Andrew Breitbart at this year’s CPAC, as one spoke in a wheel of mind-blowing vetting of President Obama. Buzzfeed’s Ben Smith scooped Breitbart’s integrated Big sites by releasing the tape Wednesday morning, but without that incriminating hug. Editor-in-chief of Breitbart.com Joel Pollak and contributor Ben Shapiro later took to the Hannity show to expose the smoking guns that Smith left out. It's getting even crazier...Via Lachlan Markay at Heritage, we learn a Derrick A. Bell visited the Obama White House twice in 2010. The White House did not return a request for comment. The visits were on 1/29/2010, a Friday, and 1/31/2010, a Sunday. For now, a web search of news reports did not turn up why Bell may have been in Washington that particular weekend. Wow... Wait. Oops!The conservative Heritage Foundation shows some pluck by searching for the late law school professor Derrick A. Bell in the White House visitor’s logs, and finds that “Visitor logs show that Derrick A. Bell visited the White House twice since President Obama took office. The logs show two visits by an individual of that name on January 29 and 31, 2010.”
Why would this matter? Bell has recently splashed into the conservative media world after Breitbart.com and Fox News showed some video of then-Harvard Law School student Barack Obama speaking at a rally on campus in 1990 in support of Bell’s efforts to improve the diversity of the school’s faculty. The video had been previously shown on Frontline in 2008, including a scene of Obama hugging the professor,* which some falsely claim was not in the original PBS documentary. Bell without question held some controversial views (read this 1993 New Republic piece for more on that) and some conservatives seek to portray this as yet another close Obama associate with radical views – with a lapdog media covering it up.
There are two problems with the Heritage post. One: it excludes some details from the visitors’ logs. There are 28 columns on the publicly released records, the Heritage blog lists seven. The data they omit includes a description of what the visit was for: in this case, for both visits: TOURS. A White House tour – not MEETING or APPOINTMENT. Another data point: TOTAL PEOPLE. This is a reference to how many people were present for the tour, meeting or appointment – in this case 304 people and 282 people.

But Bell surely could have taken a tour or two and then met with President Obama, right? Sure, it’s possible – and I asked the White House about it. The answer from a White House official: this was not the same Derrick A. Bell. He had a different birthday than the late law professor, whose birthday was November 6, 1930. That would seem to undermine the significance of this visit. |

I'm confused.. he knows that was a Brietbart/Fox invention that is supposed to make Obama out as a Mason-like radical right? |
