If it wasn't so sad, it'd be comical..

so 1st Mitt insults the Brits with his "I know how to do the Olympics, not sure you do my friend"

then he gives a speech telling the Israelis that they are just so successful because they're a superior culture while the Palestinians are an inferior one... (wtf?) http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-501713_162-57482981/romney-angers-palestinians-with-pro-israel-comment/

of course he spends quite a bit of time kissing the ass of the Israelis socialized healthcare system.. He lovingly says how it's 8% of their GDP and they are awesome in their health while woe is me, we're at 18% gdp and not every awesome at all.. http://2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/07/mitt-romney-israel-health-care.php

and then it's off to Poland where his aide tells the  reporters to 'kiss his ass' and 'shove it' at the war memorial Romney was pandering.. er I mean, visiting.. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/07/31/romney-aide-loses-cool-curses-at-press-in-poland/?hpt=hp_t3

even Sarah Palin was successful in her round the world tour..

sheesh.. he's representing what this country has to offer the world.. I know he has no foreign policy experience but really? This is horrific... not to mention extremely racist towards the Palestinians... but that culture quote, lends a lot of credence to the 'unnamed' source for the 'angl0' comment.. he really thinks being 'white' or 'whiter than black or brown' means you're superior.. he went on to defend his statement by saying he'd say the same thing about Mexicans vs Americans..  I think his Mormon is showing..

and what about him at the wailing wall? he thinks Jesus came to Missouri.. how in the hell have the Jews accepted him ?

Give him credit...

He's managed to do in a week what Bush took eight years to do.

Get all of Europe to hate him.

Even Solidarity in Poland dissed him.

Poor Mitt...

Quote
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has what he says is an informed explanation for why Mitt Romney refuses to release additional tax returns. According a Bain investor, Reid charged, Romney didn't pay any taxes for 10 years.

In a wide-ranging interview with The Huffington Post from his office on Capitol Hill, Reid saved some of his toughest words for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. Romney couldn't make it through a Senate confirmation process as a mere Cabinet nominee, the majority leader insisted, owing to the opaqueness of his personal finances.

"His poor father must be so embarrassed about his son," Reid said, in reference to George Romney's standard-setting decision to turn over 12 years of tax returns when he ran for president in the late 1960s.

Saying he had "no problem with somebody being really, really wealthy," Reid sat up in his chair a bit before stirring the pot further. A month or so ago, he said, a person who had invested with Bain Capital called his office.

"Harry, he didn't pay any taxes for 10 years," Reid recounted the person as saying.

"He didn't pay taxes for 10 years! Now, do I know that that's true? Well, I'm not certain," said Reid. "But obviously he can't release those tax returns. How would it look?

"You guys have said his wealth is $250 million," Reid went on. "Not a chance in the world. It's a lot more than that. I mean, you do pretty well if you don't pay taxes for 10 years when you're making millions and millions of dollars."

Ouch!

I gotta hand it to ol' Harry. He knows how to use that vice. Either Mitt releases his returns or the world thinks he's a tax cheat. Priceless!

I'm torn on this.  While this is completely and utterly tangible, unlike the whole BS surrounding President Obama's Birth Certificate......I don't want this to be the Dem's Birther moment.

What Reed said was speculation, based on an anonymous source.  I personally don't think it should have been ran as a news item.  Do I think Romney has tax returns showing he paid less than 13 percent and possibly has years where he paid zero in taxes?...abso-fuckin-lutely...it's not even a remote stretch.

I just want the approach not to sink to far right/tea bagger levels.  Where rumor get's bumped up to fact, despite no real evidence.
