FaFa mentioned yesterday elsewhere that "God" was omitted from this year's DNC platform. Of course, the right wing is apoplectic over this. Guess what else doesn't contain the word "GOD"? The Constitution!

The Constitution!I was sorry that Michelle ended her speech with the 'god' bullshit. Aside from that, her pitch was moving and sincere. Way better than Marie Antoinette Romney's.

I watched all of Michelle last night.. I've never been a huge fan, but I enjoyed her speech. I liked it tons better than Ann's because I didn't believe a single part of Ann's.. even tho I do believe Mitt had a 'self-loathing' of his dad's wealth so much that probably was very poor while in school..But Ann just didn't 'connect' with me.. Michelle did last night, that was a 1st because, as I just said, I'm not a big fan of hers.. I am salivating while waiting for the Big Dog tho.. I just luv me some Bill.

Like I said, Michelle did a lot to stir the base. That's a big part of what's been missing. After Bill tonight, winner!

Like or_hate the speech, it did what it was suppose to do, define success the way it's suppose to be defined. For 30 years now, the definition of success has been hi-jacked to work in tandem along side, and almost exclusively with, monetary gains. Success can indeed be financial, but it is not solely the only gauge. Everything else that didn't involve huge sums was stripped from the equation...and in many instances they were reassigned "trivial" or "almost laughable" status...and with that we saw their "worthiness" re-evaluated and reassigned a place of lesser importance to our society and culture.
The result of such a drastic manipulation of values and "success" almost destroyed this country economically, because we allowed financial success to become the singular qualifier for accomplishment. That ignores the many other components of success...and it's so tragic and so anti-community/society. I'm thrilled this corrosive one sided reality is going to be part of the conversation now. Success is MANY things, including financial prosperity, but not ONLY financial prosperity.

They are indeed. It's no different than paying for a BJ, well except you get a life time retirement and healthcare.

America still loves Bill!More people watched former President Bill Clinton's speech to the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night than tuned in to see the N.F.L. season opener.

damnit man.. The Big Dog came to town last night didn't he? Holy Shit he's awesome. The 'tweets' on msnbc were hilarious.. Michael Steele the ex-RNC guy said something like "Obama better watch out those delegate may call out Bill's name".. LOL.. and Steve Schmidt, McCain's campaign guy, said he wishd to God there was someone in the GOP like Bubba.. but there wasn't.. all the tweets were praising.. Saying how well Bill laid out the choice of the next 4 years.. and how he'd explained, the way only he could do, how everything worked and how Obama's been working it.. and finally the twit Reince from the RNC whined "nothing to see but Obama's failed policy and dangerous road ahead" or something stupid like that. It was hilarious after seeing 400 other nothing but praise from everyone, left,right,center.. here is this whining bitch making a fool of himself..
But Bill.. wow. He was supposed to go 15 mins.. HAHAHA! Did any local news cut away? I can't imagine it.
If anyone could get another term.. it'd be Bill Clinton.. that whole "I never learned to 'hate' the republicans the way they hate the President and the democrats".. wow! he nailed it and made them look foolish.
home-run.

Saw Bill at a conference in Vegas In Jan. only about 15 rows deep in a room that held about 4k. That fucker just beams personality, poise, command of a room and confidence. It's an amazing thing to see in person.
