wow..

"What we're trying to accomplish here is the recognition of the fact than in a recession ..unemployment lags on even well after a recovery takes place."

Holy shit.

"pass the kind of legislation in the past(meaning stimulus) that have grown the economy and gotten ppl back to work"

wow..

govt deficit stimulus spending.."time-tested,proven" way to keep people working..

"we know as an historical fact that even if our economy begins to slowly recover, that unemployment is going to linger on and on until well after that recovery takes place".

Someone needs to make an ad with that..Because this just not only took stimulus spending and deficits out of play, it took the unemployment level out of play as well..

and it really makes the GOP look petty since it was house Dem's who were trying to help Bush with the stimulus.. even if it would have hurt them politically by making things 'better' in the country, thus helping Bush get a 2nd term..

It's all over the internet...FB, etc. Definitely worthy of an ad.

Ah video....the gift that keeps on giving.

To me this shows just how far the far right is willing to run from reality, even their own, to make President Obama a one term'er.  We all know on the very night of his inauguration, Ryan and Rove and a host of others met and began planning a strategy on how best to make President Obama a one term President.  He hadn't even done a single thing and they were hard at work devising a way to minimize and neuter him politically.

How fucking entrenched in ideology must you be to go down that road...knowing it will also involve fucking the country in the process?  I'm not even sure all those assholes ARE even racist...it's just an means to an end to float all that "other than" shit out there.

The lengths they've already gone to, should scare the shit out of anyone.  "It's just another day in Washington."  Bullshit.  They helped create a rift (which was too easily achieved, unfortunately, from all the racism that "doesn't exist.") all to up-end a man from a potential second term, before he even started.  These lunatics have to go.  They're counter-productive to this nations well being, and it's people.

Personally, with the way Romney handled the issue with Chris Stevens, I don't think he has a chance to win. While he may have his minion's who will worship at his feet he didn't come off as President material. While I get it that over time in the White House you get built up to become a strong leader, Obama was handling crisis' like he had been in there a few years before he was even elected.

I'm just not impressed with Romney, and honestly, I was never impressed with him as Governor of Massachusetts. My family has some strong Republican's in it and they couldn't even stand him while he was up in Massachusetts.

to intentionally screw up the country.. and then blame any president for the country not being in top shape... isn't that like OBL on 9/12 saying "well, you shouldn't have built the WTC so high" ?

but you would think the party as a whole would be pissed about it.. as rabid 'sportsfans' as many in the GOP is,  the idea of their 'team' throwing the entire season and superbowl just so their coach doesn't get that 'win' would turn their stomachs.. So how do they comfort themselves with the knowledge that it's OK to destroy millions of people as long as their party gets reelected or Obama doesn't get a 2nd term?

I guess that's the same as asking how a gay person can be in the republican party..  but it's still an amazing thing to watch.
