Seniors will vote for him because they're typically scarred about preserving income and benefits, more old school "religious", and I actually do understand.  They don't care what happens to Medicare and SS after they're gone as long as they keep theirs, and think Romney will help them do that.  They'll go down as the last, greatest set group in history because of fixed pensions and such that no longer exist in the real world.  Driving around the Villages partying in their golf carts.  Fuck their kids and grand kids.   God will take care of them.

here's what's funny at this point..

all night I watched 'analysts' on some stations and Fox news itself.. trying to 'infer' what Romney was really saying in his 47% speech.. They were trying to make the case that even tho he said 47%, he didn't mean seniors.. or vets.. or people who work and don't make enough money... he meant those 3-7% that actually do mooch off the system. About the only talking head I saw challenge this kind of stupid was Anderson Cooper and he didn't challenge it each time it was said.. He would interrupt the 'spin-doctor' and say something like "But he said 47% of the country, I have his quote right here.. it's not out of context, I'm reading his exact words".. and still the spinner tried to make it into Romney was really meaning.._________ even tho he said..____________

now on the flip side.. as the did with Obama's "you didn't build that" quote that was taken completely out of context and then distorted to mean something other than what it actually did mean.. They've latched onto a quote from Obama saying he liked "redistribution" and have gone ape-shit over it since it proves he's a socialist.. Fox has cut and splice those words from Obama back in 98 and Romney is using it as a deflection when about his precise quote..

Of course what Obama said would be horrible.. if ya know, he'd have been as specific as not only saying "I like redistribution"..but meaning it a 'socialism' type way.. But unfortunately, he didn't say it in that context..
Quote
"There has been a systematic – I don't think it's too strong to call it a propaganda campaign – against the possibility of government action and its efficacy," he is heard saying in the audio clip. "And I think some of it has been deserved."

Later in the recording, Obama says he wants to "resuscitate this notion that we're all in this thing together, leave nobody behind, we do have to be innovative in thinking how – what are the delivery systems that are actually effective and meet people where they live."

He continues: "I think the trick is figuring out how do we structure government systems that pool resources and hence facilitate some redistribution – because I actually believe in some redistribution, at least at a certain level to make sure that everybody's got a shot."

It's those final words – "I actually believe in some redistribution" – that Republicans have latched onto, characterizing them as an endorsement of redistributing wealth, rather than making sure government agencies were well supported. Many conservatives argue redistributing wealth is akin to socialism.

obviously, as with the 'you didn't build that' he was talking about 'redistribution' of what preceded that comment..ya know, gov't resources sharing their resources instead of each entity redundantly using the resources.. "sharing" them, becoming more effective and effect..

if you bend your head just right, stand on one leg with two fingers in the air..the words "I actually believe in some redistribution"  that Obama did actually use in a sentence.. means he's a socialist hellbent on destroying the country..

if you bend your head just right the other way, stand on the other leg with fours fingers in the air..the specific number of 47% that Romney talked about as being bums and leeches.. the totally in context words about  the 47% that didn't pay any taxes..really mean the 3-6% that don't work..

awesome!

can we do this in real life?

I'll start..  here are my words.. if Obama says this

bird,dog,tree,jeep,football,river..

of course that means to Fox news/GOP............ I fucked a bird in a tree then ran over a dog with my jeep after I threw the football into the river.. I mean, you saw it.. those words were typed right there!

Let's try it again..If Romney says..

All of the flowers opened towards  the sunlight after a long winter of dreary days...

of course that means to Fox news/GOP ........only marigolds kinda glanced in an easterly direction..sometime after those kinda chilly 4 months we had for awhile there..

awesome how that works..

"Who are these freeloaders? Is it the Iraq war veteran who goes to the V.A.? Is it the student getting a loan to go to college? Is it the retiree on Social Security or Medicare? ... The people who receive the disproportionate share of government spending are not big-government lovers. They are Republicans. They are senior citizens. They are white men with high school degrees. Stewart explained it about as good as anyone could have last night.  BUT, if you feel Stewart is a devout partisan hack...then you wouldn't believe a word he said regardless.  I've said this before, but that is the problem in this country...people run from a truth...to a media outlet that will pat them on the head and soothe that worried mind, like a mom blowing on a cut after she's applied some hydrogen peroxide.  "There, there...that's not so bad now is it?  Mommy will make it allllllll better."

Why the fuck should the truth make you uncomfortable or put you at odds with your reality, when all you have to do is turn that channel, log onto that website, pick up that newspaper...that's more than happy to placate your worries?

There wasn't a single thing that Romney said that was edited out of context or omitted, nothing.  What you heard wasn't an inarticulate failed attempt that horribly mangled the actual meaning of his words.  What you heard wasn't a misfortune garbled thought process that went terribly astray from what was trying to be communicated.  If he meant he was only referring to the 3 to 7 percent that ACTUALLY game the system..he could have SAID 3 to 7 percent.  It's that freak'in simple.
