I only pray they ask me to show my photo ID (drivers license) when I vote (in Rep geezerville) because in FL they can ask you for it even though you don't have to have it.  So fuckin curious what will happen when I say no?  Some poor geezer's volunteer head will spin.  "Excuse me sir, I need to see your ID".  No you don't.  "Then you'll have to step out of line".  No I will not.  Then she'll have to get the supervisor who wont know much more and tell me I need my ID.  Then the cop will come over.  Then in front of the cop I'll call the local TV news.  So much fuckin fun!  Puuuuuuuuuuuuuuulease!!!

YES YOU DO NEED ID!!!!!!!!!

we have new laws in effect THIS year..

The clerk or inspector shall require each elector, upon entering the polling place, to present a current and valid picture identification as provided in s. 97.0535(3)(a). If the picture identification does not contain the signature of the voter, an additional identification that provides the voter's signature shall be required.

Voting at the PollsBack

On Election Day, the polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and are normally less busy during the mid-morning and mid-afternoon.

If you do not know the location of your polling place, contact your Supervisor of Elections. Also, Supervisors of Elections have precinct and polling place finders on their web sites to provide you with the information on where to vote.

At the polls, you will be asked to provide a valid picture identification with signature. The following photo ids will be accepted:

    Florida driver’s license
Florida identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
    United States passport
    Debit or credit card
    Military identification
    Student identification
    Retirement center identification
    Neighborhood association identification
    Public assistance identification.

If your photo identification does not contain your signature, you will be asked to provide an additional identification that includes a signature.

If you do not have the proper identification, you will be provided with a provisional ballot. Your provisional ballot will count if the signature on the provisional ballot envelope matches the signature on your voter registration application.

if you don't have one, they'll give you a 'provisional ballot' ...which aren't counted until 10 days AFTER the election day..

bring ID.. and show it!

Facts are the center. We don’t pretend that certain facts are in dispute to give the appearance of fairness to people who don’t believe them.  Balance is irrelevant to me.  It doesn’t have anything to do with truth, logic or reality. ~Charlie Skinner (the Newsroom)
