I'm tellin ya...some of the stories I've heard and seen about the business are scary.

And trust me when I say the movie "Waiting" was more truth than fiction.

My buddy wrote that script. I read it before it became a movie.

it was pretty good movie..  I don't normally like that kind of 'teenage boy' humor.. but the 'made you look' game was pretty hilarious and  the payoff at the end when she 'flashed' them was awesome..

We used to play a modified version of that game. We never showed our junk. You made a circle with your fingers and if you could get anyone to look at it below your waist, you got to punch them. We would be hanging from ceilings just to get guys to look. It helped kill the time.

The term economic terrorism is strictly defined to indicate an attempt at economic destabilization by a group. More precisely, in 2005 the Geneva Centre for Security Policy defined economic terrorism in the following terms:

Contrary to "economic warfare" which is undertaken by states against other states, "economic terrorism" would be undertaken by transnational or non-state actors. This could entail varied, coordinated and sophisticated or massive destabilizing actions in order to disrupt the economic and financial stability of a state, a group of states or a society (such as market oriented western societies) for ideological or religious motives. These actions, if undertaken, may be violent or not. They could have either immediate effects or carry psychological effects which in turn have economic consequences.[1]

Quote
In an interview, Jon Ralston, host of Ralston Reports on NBC-affiliate KSNV MyNews3 in Nevada, asked Wynn: “You called him [Obama] a socialist. You called the president a socialist. And you used this memorable phrase that business leaders quote, ‘were sitting on their thumbs until he’s gone.’ But they’re not really. I mean, you’re not -- you haven’t been doing that?”

“Yes I have,” Wynn said.
Quote
”Wynn then explained that a pair of troubled business men in Vegas came up to him with a business proposal to renovate a property of theirs and turn it into a new hotel and they’d call it the Wynn Plaza. He was all for it but decided to scrap it because of uncertainty about what steps the federal government might take against businesses.

When asked what happened to the proposal, Wynn said he was unsure what President Obama would do next.

“I’m afraid of the president,” said Wynn.  “I have no idea what goofy idea, what crazy, anti-business program this administration will come up. I have no idea. And I have to tell you, Jon, that every business guy I know in the country is frightened of Barack Obama and the way he thinks.”

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/ceo-wynn-i-m-afraid-president

and then this terrorist says in another interview..and let's face it, 'terrorist' is what he is.. he's sitting on billions  'in order to disrupt the economic and financial stability of a state, a group of states or a society for ideological or religious motives'

Quote
Uncertainty over tax structure, health care and job market stability is heightening tensions and making it difficult for entrepreneurship, the owner of Wynn Resorts [WYNN  Loading...      ()   ] and critic of President Obama said in an interview.

"That can probably explain to you why I've become so concerned about what's happening in Washington, because it's affecting the living standards of my employees," he said. "They're all filled with anxieties these days."
http://www.cnbc.com/id/49387601

he explains that his employees see the debt/deficit and the economy and they're scared.. Of course being told to vote for who your inbred,over-privileged,bastard of a boss who's not only trying to destabilize the financial market of the country you live in for his own gain, but will also fire you for voting in your interests... says to vote for.. has no bearing on their anxiety..

I get some of the potential worry over what may transpire under new health care guide lines. How will employers adapt and what will it REALLY mean to the bottom line.  From what I've read, 95 or 97 percent of small businesses won't be affected/effected(?) in the way that's being shit-shuttled around.

What it sounds like to me is that these particular assholes want absolute guarantees as opposed to assurances that you understand of the business market.  There can't be absolute guarantees, otherwise it's not actually free market capitalism.  If there's no risk involved, on some level (as the world around you changes legislatively and otherwise), then what he's really saying is he's not going to do a damn thing until someone gives him a wink that he's not risking shit.

If President Obama actually did what they wanted and ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED no risk on any level, with full reimbursement should legislation or the mean ole world throw a nasty curve ball, these same assholes would have STILL found a way to sit on all that capital, complain, and make it all Obama's fault.

USUALLY *money* doesn't know any color.  Whatever generates more is just peachy.  But these jackwads decided that prosperity and profit weren't going to be linked to a black democratic President.  Terrorism indeed.

awesome... here's what Siegal said in July..

Quote
His company, Westgate Resorts, this year is also hiring 1,500 new employees, closing on $450 million in mortgage-backed securities in the first such transactions since 2007, and fending off banks that he says "are throwing money at us now."

"We're the most profitable we've ever been," Siegel told Reuters, projecting nearly $500 million in gross sales this year and expecting to be debt-free within two and a half years.
Quote

"I'll be the first to admit in 2008, we were fat," said Siegel who said gross revenue topped $1 billion that year. "We had departments that were maybe out of control. I was making so much money I didn't care. I didn't know what to do with the money. That's why I was building this big home."

Then came the crash, and Siegel cut payroll at Westgate from 12,000 people to 5,000, drastically reducing overhead costs. He said the company also became choosier about the potential buyers it qualifies.

As a result, Siegel said, the sales force now closes deals with 25 percent of the potential buyers it engages, compared with a typical time-share closing rate of 10 percent to 15 percent, increasing net profit on the deals.

"We got lean and mean. We're basically doing what the whole country should be doing. We're living within our means. The company today is more profitable than it was back in its heyday of 2008 in terms of actual profit. We're more profitable today than we have been in our history," Siegel said of his 30-year-old firm.

SOooooooooooo much money he didn't know what to do with it...as soon as he took a hit tho, he knew how to keep it.. he dumped 7000 employees..

SOoooooooooooooo much more money now, that if Obama's elected, he'll fire his employees for voting for him.

btw, this is the same guy who claims to be the reason GWB was elected, because as he says, he had his managers go around to all his employees and ask if they were (R) or (D).. if they were (R) he forced them to register to vote, if they were (D) he ignored them...

would love to know how many of the 7000 he fired were the (D)..

I guess we should really feel sorry for his poor wife who had to go from 15 housekeepers down to 1... but she did get 5 nannies to become housekeepers.... I bet the nannies loved that "Want to keep your job? Start scrubbing my toilet so I can fire the maid..

Quote
Jacqueline Siegel, a former Mrs. Florida who now owns the pageant franchise, accomplished her own version of recessionary budgeting, paring housekeeping staff from 15 to one and enlisting the five nannies for the family's eight children, who are aged 5 to 18, to help with chores in their spare time.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/07/30/uk-usa-orlando-siegel-idUSLNE86T02B20120730

to help with 'chores'... wtf can't the kids to do 'chores'? what a fucking peach these people are,huh?..

oh and BTW... Romney encouraged this is June, in a conference call with these assholes..

Quote
In a June conference call hosted by the conservative-leaning National Federation of Independent Businesses, Mitt Romney encouraged business owners to let their employees know which candidate they support and how the election's outcome will affect their business.

During a telephone town hall with small-business owners, first reported by In These Times, Romney said President Barack Obama's policies have hurt employers, criticizing the president on trade, labor, and his signature health care law.

"It's an anti-business, anti-job agenda," Romney said.

At the end of the call, Romney urged business owners to relay their thoughts on the election to their employees.

"I hope you make it very clear to your employees what you believe is in the best interest of your enterprise and therefore their job and their future in the upcoming elections," Romney said. "And whether you agree with me or you agree with President Obama, or whatever your political view, I hope, I hope you pass those along to your employees."

He continued: "Nothing illegal about you talking to your employees about what you believe is best for the business, because I think that will figure into their election decision, their voting decision, and of course doing that with your family and your kids as well. I particularly think our young kids ... they need to understand that American runs on a strong and vibrant business and we need businesses growing and thriving this country."

Romney is correct that such behavior is not illegal. After the Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling, which greatly expanded corporations and unions' political speech, employers can legally compel workers to participate in political campaigns.

and it's  gaining more and more traction..

Quote
Arthur Allen, CEO of ASG Software Solutions, made a similar plea in a pro-Romney email leaked last week.

"If we fail as a nation to make the right choice on November 6th, and we lose our independence as a company, I don’t want to hear any complaints regarding the fallout that will most likely come," Allen wrote.

kinda amazing..

It's sick is what it is.  Twisted and sick.  I'm actually scared to death now of winning a lotto or a book of mine hitting gold (both astronomically likely not to ever happen).  I'm scared I'll turn into one of those financial sociopaths.  I'm scared I'll turn into one of those kids with two toy boxes full of toys I haven't touched in years, and when mom comes to ask if I'd like to donate one of them for a Christmas gift to someone less fortunate...I'll lose my fuckin mind and turn almost homicidal at the mere suggestion.

Siegel, and people like him, will never truly want for anything for the rest of their lives.  They will never go without food (for their children), shelter (for their children), clothing (for their children) medical care (for their children), transportation (for their children), schooling (for their children).  Everything else...is a bonus. Everything else is a desire, not a need.  How dare he and these other assholes pretend they're anywhere near some dire survival threshold and by proxy, so are their employees.  He doesn't need that house, he and his wife just want it.  He could be living in a spacious 10 or 15 room mansion and still enjoy his steak just as much, while he looks down on the peons.  I have no doubt he worked hard. I have no doubt a lot of luck and connections were involved.  I have no doubt he stepped on more than his fair share of necks.  But his "empire" isn't shit without the people who bought his crap, the people he hired to expand it, or the Government and Society who protected it.  He's a wanna be feudal lord, pretending the bread he eats and the luxury he enjoys comes with sovereignty over those with less, usurping even their thoughts.  He's a piece of shit!

I've always said that if you win the short money <$4Million lottery your life will be hell because every one you know will think that you're fuckin rich but your not.   The 4 turns into around 2.4 after taxes which will give you about 125K pretax income for that year if invested in a typical relatively safe investment.  So $85k or so a year net.  Not rich but just fine, and you still have to worry about your investments doing reasonably well over time.  Now what in the fuck could be more fun than a room full of hot whores drugged up and cramming their cunts into King Howey's face than if you win 60 and can give half of it away to family and friends and still know pretty much no that no matter what that you're set for fuckin life?  I think that with the uber rich it's just a contest to see who can get the most to prove that they're better than the other uber rich fuck.  It's an ego thing.  Why?  I have no idea?  I believe it's just a game to them at that point.  Hell I'd just sip vodka on the beach and get blow jobs all day but I guess I'm a slacker.  I respect the Bill Gates and Warren Buffets of the world who realize that they have everything they possibly need or want and that they can't take it with them so that they just might help the world by using a good part of their wealth to improve life on the planet.  What do Carter and Clinton have in common?  They spend their retirement days trying to help people.   What do the Bush's do?  Fuck if I know?

That's what it is... it's the Gordon Gecko Game and they're all playing to top one another because after so many 100's of millions.. what else is there to do?

and you know what.. more power to them. Where would we be without that to dream of when we're laying in bed and can't sleep at night because the power is going to be turned off tomorrow..  the money is not the problem.. it's the fucking 'greed' that distorts them that is.. You mentioned Gates and Buffet, they have BILLIONS! and BILLIONS and dozens more BILLIONS.. and I have no doubt in my mind they have been as dirty and cut throat and 'greedy' as the rest.. but they don't shit on those below them for the pure joy of it.. They don't..(to quote Chuck) "wanna be feudal lord, pretending the bread he eats and the luxury he enjoys comes with sovereignty over those with less, usurping even their thoughts."

it's that that makes them the fucking assholes... and since they're already so fucking warped about their 'money' they automatically think that's what we're pissed at or jealous of..

no, it's that you're mr. fucking Burns about it, you fuck!

HA!

I'll go to get a lotto ticket without paying attention to the 'prize' amount.. then get in the car, look and see that it's >$3 million and actually get pissed at myself for wasting the money... because it would be just my luck to 'waste' my lotto win on such a small and relatively worthless prize as that..

how fucked up is it that a $1-3million lotto ticket just isn't enough.

don't get me wrong.. I'd have a great cpl years.. but I'm too young for it to be enough to retire on.. and after I bought the small house, say $150K with $50K of personal renovations (solar, wind, hurricane shutters since I want something on the river..), the obligatory new car for me and him..maybe a newer used for the kids...and something for the parents, inlaws and a place down here for Chuck and his mom closer to his brother.... plus the immediate family members (brothers and such).. on a $2million prize, after taxes and lump sum payout(because getting it at $150k a year would blow).. I've got less than $800K.. and that's just what I'll need for when I can retire at 65 to live off off the rest of my life.. so from now til then.. my happy ass is still working...

grrrrrrrrrrr

(btw, I love him.. but can I watch the whore/cunt Howie party Grin Grin)
