well, I actually can.  But I've got 4, count em, 4 nieces between the age of 18 - 21 that are all going to vote, and actually vote Pub.  Pretty amazing the power that fuckin old fat white parents, and grandparents can have over critical thinking on their brain washed kids.  But then again that's why they developed the Hitler youth.  I do find it interesting that all of them attend Florida's official red neck university, UF.

It is one of the hardest things I've ever done... not influencing my daughter's vote. I know that all it would take is for me to say "Just go into the booth and mark (D) all the way down" and she'd do it. She's too young to pay attention to anything and would trust that I was giving her the right advice. But I would hate myself for it and I would actually deserve her wrath when as she grew older and if her opinions formed to where she was pissed that I had influenced her that way..

That doesn't mean she doesn't know exactly where I stand and who I'll vote for.. but she also knows that I'm not telling her she has to vote my way just because I do.. when she asks about certain issues, I put on my 'ekg v lil mike circa '99' hat and do my best to present both sides to her so she can make her own choices..

I don't get the point of your nieces voting against there interests either.. but that party does it all the time. 1/2 of it's entire electorate is voting against their own interests for reasons I'll never understand...

Now THIS is fucking amazing!  A 21 year old girl who went to school with my daughter since elementary school, and who now attends UM posted a link to the Siegel employee coercion article and wrote "Wow!  Awesome article!" like it's a fuckin great idea.  WTF?  And I know she has student loans and maybe even gets Pell grants because there's no way in hell her family can afford to send her to a private college.  God damn I just can't fathom it?  Oh lets see.  Looking at her page it appears she's a birther as well.  Where the fuck do they get that Kool Aid because that must be some mutha fuckin powerful shit!

I was at my completely horrible excuse for a medical supply store this morning.  While I was waiting to get a fax from the Doctors office verified (don't ask) about getting new batteries for my chair...there's a bunch of (5 it looked like) old farts, sitting around in their larks.  They're talking politics and every one of them, minus the older lady in the group, is talk'in politics.  They're ALL vote'in for Romney. Blah, blah, blah.  I was listening to the completely misinformed rhetoric flying.  Kept to myself, biting my lip and all the sudden this gram-ma pipes up, "you're a bunch of fools!"...and she starts rattling off stats and policy and pending legislation and legislation trying to make it to the floor...holy shit, it was a whirlwind of information...no...a tsunami.  She laid into those old fucks like a machine.  I thought maybe Kelly quantum leaped into an old geezer, ha!

One old man from the group, tried to hold the line...rebuffing her, feebly...the others just kind of were looking around...like most people do who are misinformed idiots...they don't want you to confront them with facts, information...they just want to roll around in their particular reality, unchallenged.  And if you do challenge them...they want the words, "that's BS", to signify that you're suppose to shut up now and they can go back to the reality they prefer.  I've never understood that mind set.  Good, bad, indifferent...I want to know.  I can adjust my reality accordingly...even if it's not something that sits well with me.  R or D...if it's the truth, it's the truth...give it to me.  I can whine or be thrilled later.

I've literally read hundreds of 'comments' saying virtually the same thing.. "Hey, it's his company the gov't can tell him how to run it" .. "what is he supposed to do, lose money? that's not very smart business-wise"..."he said nothing wrong, if he loses money his employees lose.. what's the big deal"... in fact, I don't know if you remember, Draven from Muche, did the exact same thing before Obama was even elected.. he said that if Obama won the election he would close his company, fire his 100+ employees and tell them all to have a nice Christmas and enjoy their new president... and that's just what he did.. before a single tax was raised, but he even took the oath of office.. he fired them all right before Christmas and sold his company..


and 1/2 the board backed him for doing it..

so yeah, the kool-aid is powerful..



here's the thing..yes, this guy can fire whomever he wants... yes, when his profits go down,sadly he can and will drop employees. That's just the reality of any business.. But, what this guy said was different. what he said was It's all about me, vote the way I tell you,I built this company and if it wasn't for me,you'd be nothing.. and if you don't vote the way I tell you, you're fired.

that is a whole different animal than him just saying "Dear Employees, you all know the economy has really hurt the hotel industry. because of this I am going to have lay 300 people starting 3 weeks from now. I am very proud to have worked with all of you and wish you luck as you go on in your life outside this company"..

But like the '47%' comment that had people standing up saying "He's right".. instead this has created even more division IMO.. I look at "Romney/Ryan' yard signs and think "assholes".. 1st an foremost. It's not on purpose.. but to see people who support the 47% comment, Ryan's 30% comment,Siegal's comments.. all I can think is "what an asshole"...and Obama didn't do that.. Romney,Ryan and their 1% buddy did it..

It reminds me of some historical reading I was doing, about the Spanish Inquisition, Witch Burning and the like.  Did you know that the people who turned in their friends, relatives for possible Witchcraft during the 1400's...a lot of THEM also wound up being burned alive because of association.  "Well maybe you turned them in to cover your own witchcraft!" "You were the mother/father of this child...did you teach them this unholy art? Hmmmm."  It goes on and on.  In every century, people line up in droves to cut their own throats, because they get caught up in the hysteria, bigotry, stereotypes and never see anything beyond the reality they've chose to shut down and live inside of.
