It's the liberal commies who don't want to give the military even more fuckin money than they've asked for even though we spend more than the next 10 nations combined on "defense".  Fuckin yellow bellied faaaaaaaaaaaaeges!

I see no divisiveness in that party at all..

 Roll Eyes

It's funny.. under Bush they never went that far.. remember, 'you're either with us or you're with the terrorist'..it was all passive/aggressive deniability or  they'd just threatened to call us 'UN-American '.. if we didn't go along with their every whim... So atleast there's progress..  because now, I can't read any comment section without seeing myself referred to an 'America-hating-liberal-scumbag'..
'
today I went to one of my favorite and longest clients.. she's a bible-thumping,extremely wealthy trust-fund baby.. She has a heart of gold and will help anyone, financially or other at the drop of a hat...and she had Romney/Ryan all over her yard and her shirt.. She knows I'm for Obama and we never, ever talk politics.. but somehow today we stumbled upon the economy and she decided to warn me about all the talking points Fox and the Koch Bros told her to be afraid of..

but to her credit.. she never once said the words 'obamacare,liberal,democrat,republican,Obama'... not a single time.. she refereed to the 'healthcare laws'.. and  said 'we need to vote the right way so business will let their money go back to work creating jobs"..

It was pretty refreshing not to be called names.. I love her to death, but I don't agree with her at all.. and what will benefit me, will not benefit her and vice versa... but she was respectful, so I listened..

at one point we got on the part about the 'death panels'.. and she was vehemently opposed to anyone in gov't telling her what she can do with her doctor... I interjected that to be fair, all insurances had a 'board' that would decide whether your claim was approved or not.. she stopped and said, "I didn't think about that"...I'm sure it's already out of her head by now because she probably saw her copy of Palin's book laying in the living room and 'death panels' jumped back in it's place.. but it got kinda funny when she was so adamant about no one in a gov't position even daring to think they had the  right to decide which medical procedures a person could have at their doctors' office(in reference to her parents maybe being to old to get care under Obama's death panels).. and I replied "I'm right there with you.. everyone, man, woman, child, the elderly and even teenage girls shouldn't have the gov't telling them what they can do at their doctors and with their body"..

HA!

she got my inference and again, realized her hypocrisy and then we just went back to looking at her dogs... LOL.

Here's what's going to happen. The old folks are wising up. Sure, R/R say they're safe and will have their social security and medicare, but they now see how much disdain the pubs have for the programs. Ppl your and my age are wising up and starting to realize what they worked for all their lifes, a comfortable old age, may soon be in the hands of a volatile market run by the likes of Romney.

Younger ppl too. They're all beginning to think.

It won't be until they pull that lever for Obama that they realize things right now just ain't that bad.

I did love how Biden hammered that message.. the "look folks, they want to privatize SS (to which Ryan nodded and agreed).. and just imagine what would have happened if SS was privatized when wall street dropped trillions of dollars in wealth, where would you be then?"

It's something they should continue to hammer, but I think they feel  this argument is won/lost already.. but it's not. It's clear to us, but not necessarily to older, low-information, people..

It's gotta be continually hammered home.  It seems a decent portion of this electorate can't or won't acknowledge that Yes, there are individuals in the Government that are ready right now to gleefully get rid of SS and encourage you to take your small portion and hand it over to the market for your retirement.

Most people do not and will not have, by their retirement age, enough accumulated to withstand any kind of major negative market hit.  Even with multiple portfolio's as different as night and day in their stocks/investments...the average person isn't going to have the kind of money where dumps won't effect/affect(?) them drastically.  The multimillionaires/billionaires can take the hiccups, roller coasters and shit tanks.  Yea, they'll lose money too, but they'll still have money. They won't lose their homes.  They won't lose the ability to pay their bills.  For the average retiree, even being as overly cautious, diligent, and meticulous as possible with all their investments/stocks...a 200 or 400k dump just wiped them out by half or more.  If anything, the market, for them, should be something they fart around with with a bit of disposable income they may have...it should not be the instrument that determines their entire stability and welfare.  It's (especially now) a dangerous game that no one should be playing, with small resources, in their late 60's 70's or 80's.
