... or so say Lindsy Graham RE Libya..
I am totally convinced this is going to go down in history as one of the most major breakdowns of national security in a very long time, it's Exhibit A of a failed national security strategy." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/21/dick-durbin-darrell-issa-libya_n_1997056.html?utm_hp_ref=politicsreally? It's really 'exhibit A'? ... is it really inline with.. Oh I don't know.. 9/11? What that party
used to use for political gain until they had to actual
pay for the 1st responders
of 9/11..
but Benghazi is really more of a failed Nat'l security strategy? It's a
historical breakdown?
Look, there was failure.. but of course in hindsight, there always is.. I don't think the admin handled it with elegance by any stretch, sometimes it is best to answer questions with....
"we are still sifting through all the information at this time, when we know, you'll know".. but is this really on the level of
"Bin Laden determined to strike America... with plane btw"..?
I don't get it...
Although lilMike and Mickey used to proclaim I wasn't
really in the military because I had an office job, I can even figure this out.
a. The Ambassador and group were in a safe house. They weren't in the embassy. They knew a crowd had gathered outside.
b. The attack started. The only contact they had was with someone outside the compound, saying there was what looked like a riot. Possibly related to the youtube video. This is what they reported to the State Dept.
Because it's all the intel they had.
c. The attack lasted for hours, six I believe?
d. During this time, Romney gets wind of the attack and jumps the gun. Puts out his stupid statement.
e. The attack ends, but it's still unsafe outside. There's noone to see what's going on.
f. After Romney's statement, the State Dept puts out their own statement with what info they have.
From there on out, it's obvious things changed. The next day Obama made his speech, inferring it was a terror attack, but still...noone knew for sure.
If anyone fucked this whole thing up, it's Romney with his memo. Now they're trying to make it look like the admin screwed things up.
They're that desperate.
