... or so say Lindsy Graham RE Libya..

I am totally convinced this is going to go down in history as one of the most major breakdowns of national security in a very long time, it's Exhibit A of a failed national security strategy."

really? It's really 'exhibit A'?  ... is it really inline with.. Oh I don't know.. 9/11? What that party used to use for political gain until they had to actual pay for the 1st responders of 9/11..

but Benghazi is really more of a failed Nat'l security strategy? It's a historical breakdown?

Look, there was failure.. but of course in hindsight, there always is..  I don't think the admin handled it with elegance by any stretch, sometimes it is best to answer questions with.... "we are still sifting through all the information at this time, when we know, you'll know".. but is this really on the level of "Bin Laden determined to strike America... with plane btw"..?

I don't get it...

Although lilMike and Mickey used to proclaim I wasn't really in the military because I had an office job, I can even figure this out.

a. The Ambassador and group were in a safe house. They weren't in the embassy. They knew a crowd had gathered outside.

b. The attack started. The only contact they had was with someone outside the compound, saying there was what looked like a riot. Possibly related to the youtube video. This is what they reported to the State Dept. Because it's all the intel they had.

c. The attack lasted for hours, six I believe?

d. During this time, Romney gets wind of the attack and jumps the gun. Puts out his stupid statement.

e. The attack ends, but it's still unsafe outside. There's noone to see what's going on.

f. After Romney's statement, the State Dept puts out their own statement with what info they have.

From there on out, it's obvious things changed. The next day Obama made his speech, inferring it was a terror attack, but still...noone knew for sure.

If anyone fucked this whole thing up, it's Romney with his memo. Now they're trying to make it look like the admin screwed things up.

They're that desperate.

Looks like I'm right...plus FOX is now admitting it could have been both protests over the video and a terror attack.

I'll bet that's egg on their faces. Especially after this:

Despite their growing uncertainty, intelligence officials didn’t feel they had enough conclusive, new information to revise their assessment. Ms. Rice wasn’t warned of their new doubts before she went on the air the next morning and spoke of the attacks being spurred by demonstrations, intelligence officials acknowledged.

More information casting doubt on the protest element came in on Sunday morning, around the time that Ms. Rice was completing her TV appearances, the officials said. She began taping the shows early Sunday morning. By the time intelligence analysts began to realize “there’s enough here to build a body of evidence that there probably were not protests, those things were already recorded and she [Ms. Rice] was already out there,” a senior intelligence official said.

There was absolutely nothing going on back in my day.  So not being so unemployable or lost that I had to join the military I was in college balls deep in pussy, and pussy, and more pussy.

Mine was at full staff in support of the hott bf I had back then. Like Romney he was a rich privileged boy,  but still served his  country with 12 inches of military might...god bless America!

I guess they're not backtracking. They're now forgetting all of the above and....oh fuck, I don't know what they're doing!

Quote
As newly released emails showed a local militant group was on the administration's radar within hours of the attack, CBS News released a quote from a Sept. 12 interview in which President Obama seemed to acknowledge the strike was more than just a protest over an anti-Islam film.

CBS News published the quote online, and it appeared to have aired for the first time on Oct. 19, more than a month after the interview was taped. The video has been available online.

In the interview with "60 Minutes," Obama downplayed the notion the attack was mob violence, as was thought to be the case with a demonstration in Cairo, Egypt.

"You're right that this is not a situation that was exactly the same as what happened in Egypt, and my suspicion is that there are folks involved in this who were looking to target Americans from the start," Obama told CBS News.
