in all seriousness .. how could a woman even conceive of voting (R)? hasn't there been enough of this to where you can't simply deny it anymore? If the GOP had it their way we'd be chained-to-our-stove-breeders.. never leaving the kitchen and if by chane we did because we didn't like our men to have their mistresses, well we'd damn sure not get paid as much for doing the same job..
I've never, ever, been a 'gloria steinem' woman.. ever... I'm all about a strong southern woman.. but her way was always too pushy, too 'northern' for me.. but I'm finding myself more and more advocating all this 'women' shit and that in and of itself pisses me off.. Just leave me alone, treat me like a human, and butt the fuck out of my vagina..
is that too much to ask?

I wonder what 'backroom' deal is going to ensure the idiot doesn't use that ad tho..
nevermind..
my bad for thinking Romney cared about anyone other than himself..
Quote
“Gov. Romney disagrees with Richard Mourdock, and Mr. Mourdock’s comments do not reflect Gov. Romney’s views. We disagree on the policy regarding exceptions for rape and incest
but still support him
,” the spokeswoman said.
fuck you!
and how odd is it that McCain is the sane one on this..
Quote
Last week, McCain was in Indiana campaigning for Mourdock, who won the Republican nomination by beating the man McCain backed, veteran Sen. Richard Lugar.
Asked if he’s still backing Mourdock following his rape comments Wednesday, McCain instead backed far away from him.
“It depends on what he does. I think it depends on what he does,”
McCain said. McCain said that “if he apologizes and says he misspoke and he was wrong and he asks the people to forgive him,” the Arizona Senator would get behind him again.
Romney doesn't even ask that... he just says
"Eh, don't worry.. I support the guy, my Veep supports the guy, they also support the person-hood amendment and don't think rape is real if there's a pregnancy.. but believe me when I say, I'm for 100% of the people in this country"
People like Romney's "I"m all about jobs" propaganda.. and they're ignoring the fact that if elected, women's rights are over.. The fanatics in this party don't want women out of the kitchen, they don't think they deserve equal pay, they don't think they have rights to their bodies, they want to force childbirth on anyone, raped or otherwise and contraceptives are at the prevue of your employer?.. I keep hearing that
'women don't care about abortion, they care about the economy"
you fools, abortion and contraceptives is the number one economic issue for women! This party will allow bosses to decide whether or not you can get birth control as well as decide if you will be forced to carry your rapist child, or the child who is killing you, to term.. It's hard enough, economically, to have children you plan for and to have them under normal circumstances without life-threatening conditions put upon you by the pregnancy.. how do you find baby-sitter to cover this new baby when you can barely pay for the others? How do you get a new job when the high-risk pregnancy you were forced to carry to term, lost you your job and healthcare.. and was so detrimental to your body that now you can't work at all?
and then the cynical fucks would disallow the foodstamps, medicaid and wic needed to help the rape-forced-pregnancy,employer-forced-pregnancy,high-risk-forced pregnancy....
I don't understand my gender at all.. If I wasn't one of them I'd wish their idiocy on them.. but too bad for me my gender is fucking stupid and votes on 'looks' more than substance.. and gee,golly.. that Mitt sure is good looking and he seems so smart!

I'm about to lose my fucking mind..

Trying to distance himself from the "legitimate rape" comment that Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.) made last week, Pennsylvania Senate candidate Tom Smith (R) stirred up further controversy by
comparing a pregnancy caused by rape to "having a baby out of wedlock."
Smith said Monday at the Pennsylvania Press Club that although he condemns Akin's comment, he agrees with Akin that abortion should be banned without any exceptions, including for rape and incest victims.
Pressed by a reporter on how he would handle a daughter or granddaughter becoming pregnant as a result of rape, Smith said he had already "lived something similar to that" in his family.
"She chose life, and I commend her for that," he said. "She knew my views. But, fortunately for me, I didn't have to ... she chose the way I thought. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't rape."
When a reporter asked Smith to clarify what kind of situation was similar to becoming pregnant from rape, the candidate responded, "Having a baby out of wedlock."
He added,
"Put yourself in a father's position. Yes, it is similar."
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/27/tom-smith-rape_n_1834234.html
It's NOT fucking similar!!!!!!!
your child fucked her BF willingly.. and probably didn't know birth control was available to her because you never told her.... even then she should be able to chose.. but either way, she was not held down, her clothes ripped off and then violently,non-consenting(ly) penetrated by a strangers penis!.. she was not violated in the most personal way a woman could ever be violated. She was not scared emotionally and physically from the traumatic experience..and then forced to have the rapists spawn.. NO, IT'S NOT THE SAME GODDAMN THING!
and Romney closed the 16 point gender-gap?
people are out of their fucking minds..

UPDATE: 8:45 p.m. --
Megan Piwowar, a spokeswoman for Smith, clarified on Monday evening that
the candidate's comments were misunderstood
and that the "out of wedlock" pregnancy in his family was not his daughter's.
"Tom Smith is committed to protecting the sanctity of life and believes it begins at conception," she said in a statement. "While his answers to some of the questions he faced at the Pennsylvania Press club may have been less than artful, at no time did he draw the comparison that some have inferred. When questioned if he was drawing that comparison, Tom's answer was clear, 'no, no, no.' Tom was speaking to the difficult decision faced by his family, not the nature of his daughters conception.”
no they weren't.. he was perfectly cognizant and coherent and his words were spoken plainly and understandably ..

This idea that you can say whatever you want then have your press people take it back 10 mins later is bullshit.. If the GOP and Romney are allowed to win, the downfall of 'sane' politics that started with Bat-fucking-Nutty-crazy "No one cares if I lie" Palin.. will be complete.. If these assholes are not held accountable for their own spoken words, their own spoken beliefs and positions.. then why do they ever need to tell the truth again? How will you ever know when they are full of shit? How will any other country ever believe a leader of ours and their 'promises'?
and Mitt just smiles and keeps on gaining in the polls.. because of the fucking idiot voter that says
"Oh, they don't mean
me
, they mean those
other
people. When I need.. food stamps, medicaid, insurance for asthmatic teenager, unemployment, birth control,my rapist vilified instead of my vilification... I'll get it because they mean those
'other'
people. I'm a good white,Christian and they'll see that"..

that's what new polls show.
Quote
Less than two weeks out from Election Day, Republican Mitt Romney has erased President Barack Obama's 16-point advantage among women, a new Associated Press-GfK poll shows.
And the president, in turn, has largely eliminated Romney's edge among men.
Those churning gender dynamics leave the presidential race still a virtual dead heat, with Romney favored by 47 percent of likely voters and Obama by 45 percent, a result within the poll's margin of sampling error, the survey shows.

It's the God Damn Religious Right's influence and allowance on the stage of logic. We've allowed these asshole not only to infiltrate our legislative process on a broad scale...but we've allowed their non-reason to become a part of our everyday discourse...as "further substantive discourse." It isn't and never was.
Here's fucked up holy time logic. "You have free will AND God has a plan for you." Really? Because by my less than astute observations...one fucking cancels out the other! You can't have free will if your path is intervened on or preordained...AND...no divine PLAN can exist where there is free will, because then it's not free freaking will! Which one is it?! Oh, it's both? Well, silly fuck'in me!
The same "logic" is applied to abortion. We'll force women to have their babies AND we'll lessen and even end programs that help the babies they'll be having, even though that will mean MORE babies will need MORE help. BANG!...in the fuck'in head! You can't make this shit up! These jerk offs see absolutely NO contradiction in their thought processes, because they've been raised and taught over and over and over in a belief system that welcomes, teaches, encourages and condones contradiction as a legitimate way to engage in illogical thought, as a logical process. They constantly want to espouse responsibility, but they spend the bulk of their life shirking critical/logical thinking as it relates to the world and society around them.
NOW this shit is in our congress and senate. The same kind of illogical, contradictory thought process is being applied to our legislation and affairs of state. It's child think.
"We'll drug test EVERYONE who wants foodstamps/Welfare."
"Ummm, OK, but preliminary findings show the drug problem you think exists among those applying for such...isn't happening...it's a very, very small percentage. So we step on the rights of all other lawful citizens who need help?"
"YES! They should be ashamed they're applying anyway!"
"What? They probably are, but their children will go hungry if they don't."
"They should get a job!"
"They've been actively looking for over a year."
"Then get a job at McDonalds, Subway, digging ditches!"
"They've applied to all, but were deemed an employment risk if something better for them came along, and rejected."
"I don't believe that!"
"Ummmm, it's happening everywhere, to many people. The statistics and documentation are available for you to see."
"Then they're wrong!"
"Excuse me?"
"It was probably done by some *liberal* study!"
"What? It was done by an independent group, see for yourself."
"Lies!"
"What the fuck is wrong with you, seriously?"
"Communist!"

that's it exactly..
and once again, I blame Sarah Palin. it was her that made it OK tode-legitimize the President with
'palling around with terrorists'
.. and it was her that made it OK to lie your fucking teeth off and then say it wasn't you who was lying, it was the liberal media..
remember 'trooper-gate'
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2008/10/palin-makes-tro/
where she was found in violation of ethics laws and then went out and said "I'm glad to be vindicated of all charges".. even Steve Schmidt was like 'wtf? you can't say that".. and her reply was "Oh yes I can, they love me and will believe
me
"..
She really is a fucking cancer..

Perhaps more startling than McConnell's support was Sen. John McCain's announcement. The Arizona Republican, who had withdrawn his backing of Mourdock Wednesday night, backtracked Thursday in a statement from his office that said McCain was satisfied with the "apology."
"Senator McCain is glad that Mr. Mourdock apologized to the people of Indiana and clarified his previous statement," said McCain spokesman Brian Rogers. "Senator McCain hopes the people of Indiana will elect Mr. Mourdock to the U.S. Senate."
